🚨Mikel Arteta on his conversation with his set piece coach during the die minutes of the game. Reporter🗣️: Do you mind telling us your conversation with the set piece coach, you look frustrated that moment and want a solution. Arteta🗣️: of course moments like this puts you under pressure and you will want to find anything possible for a win, I was telling him what should we even do about this situation because things are getting out of hand now, and we need to react quickly. “His answer was unbelievable and I wouldn’t want to say it here because we had a bad result in the end and also against a team in the league two championship.” “He told me we can only depend on corners Cause that’s the only thing he can offer right away, I got piss and walk away from him because he’s not serious at all.” “To depend on corners against an Amateur side club is absolutely what I never thought of in this game, and then I realized something serious was going to happen to us in the end.” He really made angry to be honest.

🚨Jamie Carragher on Fleetwood Town knocking Arsenal out of the Carabao Cup after a dramatic penalty shootout: 🗣️ Jamie Carragher: “This is exactly what the Carabao Cup is all about! I absolutely love to see it. “People need to understand what makes this result so special. Fleetwood Town are a League Two side struggling near the relegation battle, going through a difficult period, trying to fight their way through a season that hasn’t been easy for them. “And now, in the middle of all that, they’ve gone out and knocked the Premier League champions out of a cup competition! “Just think about that for a moment. A team fighting for its future in League Two has beaten one of the biggest clubs in the country. That is historical. These are the nights that make football beautiful. “Before this game, Fleetwood were the underdogs. Arsenal had the quality, the squad depth, the money and the expectations. Everybody expected Arsenal to get the job done. “But Fleetwood didn’t care about reputations. They went out there, stuck to their guns and played with the belief that they could make something happen. “And that first goal? What a moment! “Eighteen-year-old Loupalo takes on Salmon, sends him to the ground, keeps his composure and finishes brilliantly. Suddenly, Fleetwood are ahead, and you can see the belief spreading through that team. “An 18-year-old stepping up against Arsenal and producing a moment like that! These are the memories young players dream about. “Arsenal eventually fought their way back into the game, and you thought their quality would make the difference. But Fleetwood refused to disappear. “They took the game all the way to penalties, held their nerve and won 5–3. Guimarães missed his penalty, and suddenly Arsenal were out! “Look at Matt Lawlor and those Fleetwood boys. Look at what this means to them. These players are going through a difficult season, and tonight they have given their supporters something they will remember for the rest of their lives. “That is why cup football matters. League form, budgets and reputations go out of the window when the whistle blows. For 90 minutes, and then in a penalty shootout, you have to prove yourself. “Mikel Arteta will be going home wondering how his team allowed this to happen. Tomorrow, there will be questions about the performance, the missed chances and the penalty shootout. “But Matt Lawlor? I imagine he’ll be going home with a pint in his hand, celebrating one of the greatest nights in Fleetwood’s history! [laughs] “Arteta goes home asking how he lost to a team fighting relegation in League Two. Lawlor goes home knowing he has beaten the Premier League champions. That is the magic of the Carabao Cup!” “Congratulations to Fleetwood Town. They came into this game carrying the pressure of a difficult season, but they leave with a result that will be remembered long after their current league struggles are forgotten. “This is why we love football. You cannot buy nights like this, and you cannot guarantee victories just because you have the bigger name. “Fleetwood came as underdogs, stood their ground and made history. “That’s the Carabao Cup. That’s football. And long may we have nights like this!”

🚨🗣️ Ian Wright: When it’s Arsenal, the refereeing is always different! “How on earth was that a red card? Seriously, what are we doing here? The Fleetwood player tackles Max Dowman, Max barely reacts, and the referee immediately reaches for a red card. Unbelievable! We saw a similar incident last weekend in Chelsea vs Tottenham, when Cole Palmer reacted after a challenge, yet the referee didn’t send him off. So why is the standard suddenly different when it comes to Arsenal? I’m not saying Arsenal lost because of that decision, but it undoubtedly affected the game. That was never a red card in a million years! Sometimes, I genuinely feel Arsenal are officiated differently. If you’ve watched that incident and still believe Max Dowman deserved a straight red, then honestly, football is not for you. Young players deserve protection, and Arsenal deserve the same standard of refereeing as everyone else. Enough of these inconsistent decisions! #FLEARS

What kind of red card is this? ? Cole Palmer did worse against Tottenham, but when it’s Arsenal, the rules suddenly change. The double standards are embarrassing 🤡

Neymar had the talent to rule football, but injuries and lifestyle choices held him back. First player from the Brazilian league to break into the Ballon d’Or top 10 🔥
NEYMAR was a king that never assume his throne. He talked about his prime and his best days in football. This is what he has to say " l know people remember my time at Barcelona with MSN, but as a player, it was in Paris because I felt strong, I was fast and intelligent.” "For me, it was at Paris Saint-Germain,” Neymar said when asked to identify the prime of his career."

Imagine Harry Kane choosing Man United over Bayern Munich. His career could have gone down the drain. Never underestimate the power of one decision. Your future depends on it 💯
🚨 Manchester United are INTERESTED in signing Harry Kane this summer. 👀 The striker is approaching key contract talks with Bayern at the end of the season — with United ready to pounce on ANY issues in negotiations. Bayern remain RELAXED and still expect Kane to sign a new deal despite the growing interest. United are not prioritising a striker, but would NOT pass up the chance if Kane becomes available. 🚨🗣️ Zinedine Zidane Proposes Separate Awards for Club and International Football “The Ballon d’Or organisers need to be more consistent with their decisions. They used La Liga performances to award Lamine Yamal the Kopa Trophy over Pau Cubarsí, relied on World Cup performances to award Unai Simón the Yashin Trophy over David Raya, ignoring a whole season of club football and used Bundesliga performances to award Harry Kane the Gerd Müller Trophy over Kylian Mbappé, despite Mbappé's incredible scoring record. They also prioritised Champions League success when selecting Club of the Year, yet placed greater emphasis on international tournament success when choosing Coach of the Year over managers who delivered outstanding results at club level. So, which criteria actually matter: domestic league performances, Champions League success or international tournaments? If the organisers cannot apply consistent standards across every category, they should separate club football awards from international football awards. Players and managers deserve recognition based on clear, fair criteria, not standards that appear to change from one award to another. The Ballon d’Or needs reform. #BallonDor

🇧🇷🗣️: No room for debate - Raphinha names best world player. Barcelona captain Raphinha has named teammate Lamine Yamal as the best player in the world at the moment. Speaking to CazeTV, Raphinha insisted that there is no room for debate, adding that the Spain international is by far ahead of the second best player in the world. The Brazilian international said, “Lamine is proving that he is the best player in the world right now, and I don’t think there is any room for debate about that. “For me, he is the best player in the world, perhaps by a very big margin over whoever is second.”

🚨Breaking : Ballon d'Or tie-break rule explained with Kylian Mbappe threatening Harry Kane-Lamine Yamal top two We are just hours away from finding out the 2026 Ballon d'Or winner as favourites Harry Kane, Kylian Mbappe and Lamine Yamal do battle for the biggest individual prize in football. For the first time, the Ballon d'Or ceremony will be held outside of Paris on Monday night, with the London Palladium playing host to one of the most anticipated nights in the football calendar. As mentioned on the Ballon d'Or website , a jury of 100 specialised journalists - one from each of the top 100 FIFA -ranked nations - have voted for their top 10 selections from a 30-player shortlist. Players are judged over the entirety of last season from August 3 2025 until July 19 2026, with the criteria including individual performances, decisive and impressive character, collective performances and titles won, as well as class and fair play. The ten players named are awarded 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 points respectively. Of course, the Ballon d'Or is then awarded to the player with the highest total number of points.
