Neil Young has filed a $10 million lawsuit against Donald Trump, alleging copyright infringement over the ongoing use of Young’s song “Rockin’ in the Free World” as the president’s walk-up music at midterm election rallies. The suit says the classic 1989 song is “a blistering anthem that contrasts the hollow promises of American political rhetoric with the harsh realities faced by the poor, homeless and forgotten. The lyrics pain vivid street-level portraits — a mother discarding her baby, addicts lost in despair, garbage piling in the shadows of prosperity — while the repeated chorus delivers a savage irony, celebrating freedom that clearly isn’t shared by all. In short, the song is the opposite of everything that Donald J. Trump stands for.” variety.com/2026/music/news/…

"...absolute mess: bike lanes and bus lanes swallowing entire streets, traffic choking across the city, and parking spaces disappearing by the day"
New Yorkers are drowning in buyer’s remorse, and honestly, what did they expect? They elected Zohran Mamdani, who then turned around and endorsed candidates who weren’t even born in America and didn’t grow up in NYC. Now people are shocked that these politicians are reshaping the city to suit their own vision while seemingly giving native New Yorkers’ needs the middle finger. NYC voters backed the very people pushing bike lanes and congestion pricing, and now the consequences are playing out right in front of everyone’s eyes. Thousands of car owners are posting videos showing the absolute mess: bike lanes and bus lanes swallowing entire streets, traffic choking across the city, and parking spaces disappearing by the day. What little parking remains is increasingly metered, so drivers are left sitting in endless traffic, paying fee after fee just to get around in their own city. How much more are working New Yorkers supposed to take? People have to get to work, raise families, run businesses, and live their lives. But instead of making that easier, these politicians keep piling on restrictions, fees, and policies that make everyday life more expensive and miserable.

The UK averages 159 rainy days a year and ranks fourth in Europe for rainfall volume. The last major reservoir was finished in 1992. Since 2017, the privatised water companies have sold off at least 35 reservoirs and bulk storage sites. The government have now been warned that “Day Zero” – empty reservoirs – could arrive before Christmas. We are a damp island that somehow managed to privatise the rain, sell off the storage and then act surprised when the taps run dry. The corporations took the infrastructures, paid the dividends and left us with a hosepipe ban and a warning about water rationing at Christmas. And meanwhile, successive governments let this happen while enabling enormous data centres to guzzle up huge amounts of water and energy Yet another example of the UK being turned into a corporation asset grab at the public’s expense. This is not just government negligence. It was a choice.

In official communications the State Department says the war was started at Israel’s request
So blame Trump my friend. Trump, and only Trump, made the decision to go to war. It’s his stupid, illegal war. Don’t blame Israel.

Yep- the Pentagon Dole Queue is the evil form of communism.
Prof. Richard Wolff: ‘The US🇺🇸 is basically the ONLY COUNTRY in the world right now that supports Israel because of AIPAC’s control over Congress.’ ‘You know who learned how to play the game? Israel. We have something here called AIPAC. It is an association of wealthy Jewish and non-Jewish interest groups in this country, buying and controlling the politicians, who in turn fund Israeli wars, who in turn order the equipment from the American manufacturer. You see, it’s the same game. It’s just this time with a foreign country playing a role which normally it wouldn’t have played, but that’s why our politics are so weird. We’re the only country that basically supports Israel in the world now. They figured out, to their credit, the game that had to be played, but here’s the problem: everybody else is now aware of it, and so we’re seeing elections here in New York won by the candidate who is able to say about his or her opponent, “they are funded by AIPAC. They’re in the pocket of the military.” It’s become, Hegel would have loved this as a German philosopher, it has become its own opposite, from being the guarantee of controlling the Congress. These people are now in the process of losing it for the same reason, and the socialists are going to pick up on this.’ Watch the full interview in the quoted post below 👇 @profwolff

Oct 26, 1825: The Erie Canal opened, and New York became the Empire State. Before the canal, moving goods from the Great Lakes to the East Coast meant hauling them over the Appalachian Mountains by wagon on terrible roads. It was slow and expensive. New York's governor, DeWitt Clinton, pushed a plan to dig a canal 363 miles across the state from Albany on the Hudson River to Buffalo on Lake Erie. People thought he was crazy. Thomas Jefferson reportedly called the idea a little short of madness. Critics called it Clinton's Ditch. Construction started on July 4, 1817. There were almost no trained engineers in America, so the men in charge learned on the job. Thousands of laborers, many of them Irish immigrants, dug most of it by hand with shovels, picks, and horses. They had to build 83 locks to lift and lower boats over the changing ground, including a famous staircase of locks at Lockport. It was finished in eight years. On Oct 26, Clinton boarded a canal boat in Buffalo. Cannons had been placed along the entire route within earshot of each other. As the first one fired, the next one fired, all the way to New York City and back, a relay that took a few hours to cross the state. When Clinton reached New York Harbor nine days later, he poured a keg of water from Lake Erie into the Atlantic Ocean. They called it the Wedding of the Waters. The cost of shipping goods from Buffalo to New York City dropped by around 90%. The canal paid for itself in about a decade. Towns like Syracuse, Rochester, and Buffalo boomed, and New York City became the biggest port and business center in the country.

America's guided missile destroyers bring an enormous amount of firepower to a naval war. But what most people overlook is how these very warships also play a major role in the ebb and flow of American military operations, from weeks of intense fighting to periods of withdrawal, negotiations and renewed strikes. The Arleigh Burke class forms the backbone of the US destroyer fleet, with more than 75 ships in service. Modern versions displace nearly 10,000 tonnes and carry 96 vertical-launch cells, accommodating everything from Tomahawk cruise missiles to sophisticated air-defence and ballistic missile interceptors. A Tomahawk can strike targets roughly 1,600 kilometres away. That allows these destroyers to operate far offshore while attacking targets deep inland, without relying on nearby airbases. These were the actual naval assets that inflicted massive damage to Iran. And they are equally important in defence. Their Aegis radars and Standard Missiles provide a substantial part of the protective umbrella around American aircraft carriers, with several destroyers working together to detect and intercept incoming threats. The 2026 Iran war demonstrated the scale of this capability. The USS Abraham Lincoln operated in the Arabian Sea with three Arleigh Burke destroyers, while several others were deployed independently. Across the initial 39 day campaign, American naval forces, including submarines, launched more than 1,000 Tomahawks. But those 96 launch cells are shared between offensive and defensive missiles. Every Tomahawk missile fired and every interceptor expended reduces what remains available for the next engagement. And unlike fuel or ordinary supplies, these missiles cannot routinely be replenished at sea. Destroyers need suitably equipped ports to reload, or other fully armed warships must replace them. This rotation can takes weeks to happen during actual combat. This introduces an often overlooked consideration when examining the periods of intense fighting and subsequent negotiations with Iran. There are many reasons why the fighting between America, Israel and Iran moves between heavy strikes and negotiations. But one overlooked factor is the availability of fully armed destroyers. These pauses can give America crucial time to rotate its warships to equipped ports, replenish their offensive and defensive missiles, and return them to the region ready for another round of operations. Watch the movements of these guided missile destroyers closely, and you can get a much clearer picture of how the war is likely to unfold over the next three to four weeks.

Reminder 🚨 When Netanyahu talk about American Jews Let's be Clear. Jewish Americans are 100% loyal to the USA. Netanyahu is a foreign politician. He doesn’t speak for us . America is our home. No loyalty toward Israel Period
