Last night Trump said he could have won Vietnam in a week. His plan was “going after Ho Chi Minh City.”
Ho Chi Minh City was Saigon, the capital of South Vietnam. Our ally. The enemy’s capital was Hanoi. We bombed it.
He called the presidents who fought that war stupid, then explained how he’d have won it by attacking our own side.
58,220 Americans died in that war. Trump got five deferments. Now he’s telling the rest of us how easy it would have been.
He’s had more than fifty years to learn which side we were on. He still hasn’t. That alone should disqualify him from sending anybody else’s kids to war.
Instead, he’s weighing more strikes on Iran after Tuesday. His administration has reportedly considered using the “mother of all bombs,” the one he calls “like a tiny nuclear bomb.”
The man who thinks we should have bombed our ally’s capital gets to choose the targets.

Finland, the reigning world champion, has announced that it will refuse to play against Russia at the Ice Hockey World Championships as long as Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues.
Finland is now working with other Nordic and major European hockey nations to form a united boycott front.
If enough countries join, holding the tournament with Russia participating could become impossible.
Meanwhile, Germany is considering withdrawing as host of the 2027 World Championships if Russia is allowed to compete.

The Samara oil pumping and storage station, one of the largest oil tank farms in Europe, is burning quite spectacularly.
The facility houses 71 storage tanks with a total capacity of over 1.6 million cubic meters of oil.
The Samara Linear Production and Dispatch Station (LPDS) near Prosvet in Russia's Samara region was reportedly attacked for the fourth time since early October.
The facility is a major hub for receiving, storing, and blending crude oil from Tatarstan, Western Siberia, and other regions of Russia. It is also used to produce Russia's Urals export crude blend.
Part of the Transneft system, the LPDS covers more than 216 hectares and has one of Europe's largest oil storage tank farms. It contains 71 tanks with a combined capacity of over 1.6 million cubic meters of oil, two oil pumping stations - Samara-1 and Samara-2 - and a separate oil blending station.

Politico: NATO allies are bracing for a worst-case scenario after Tuesday’s midterms. They fear that a Republican loss could prompt Trump to ramp up his attacks on NATO and pull thousands more U.S. troops out of Europe.
“Usually what happens to lame-duck presidents is a mix of venting frustrations and adventurism in foreign policy,” said one senior European defense official.

Her father sided with russia. She escaped occupied Crimea — and now builds drones for the Ukrainian military.
Meet Polina Kustariova, 21, from Kerch, occupied Crimea.
She was just nine when russia occupied her hometown. Her father, a former Ukrainian serviceman, joined the russian side. Her family supported the occupation. But Polina never abandoned Ukraine.
She secretly learned Ukrainian, waited until she turned 18, and escaped. Her journey through Kazakhstan, Turkey and Moldova took months. Even proving her Ukrainian citizenship was a struggle.
In December 2025, she finally reached Kyiv.
Her first message to her mother, sent with a photo from Maidan Square, said it all:
“Mom, I'm in Ukraine. You can start freaking out now.”
Today, Polina works as a drone engineer and instructor, building UAVs for Ukraine’s Armed Forces. She is also preparing to join the military.
Her dream is to return to Kerch — not as she left it, but carrying the Ukrainian flag.
She had to fight her way home. Now she is helping Ukraine fight for its freedom.
