You know how we often try to define what 'funk' is? Well, I was listening to this show in the car today, and this is the best description I've ever heard. Bootsy hits the nail on the head when he says "funk is...making something out of nothing".
It's why funk resonates with us so much...particularly black folk. This is what we do...whether its food, music, whatever, we have a marvelous propensity to create something from nothing. Our culture will forever be a testament to this.

But what can be done to run this better? Rushed or incomplete liner notes is poor communication. If the sales are good then it is a success. Prince often moved on to the next project quickly but today promotion may make a big difference.
