Since there isn’t a frontrunner for Best Supporting Actress I think this is the perfect time to give Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas her flowers in Sentimental Value. She is force multiplier in the film and has moments with the entire cast and has a plethora of memorable monologues.
I’m seeing a lot of discourse around WILD HORSE NINE. The truth is McDonagh set such a high bar with his last two films. This time around, it’s literally Malkovich’s world, and the story and cast live in it without being fully realized. There lie the film's flaws.
I'm so glad someone said this because I thought it was just me at times. Unfortunately, the same could be said for another film releasing soon.
Both films serve distinct purposes, so intensity is a bit of a moot point here. Both films hold weight and matter as they speak to different eras and TOTALLY different circumstances of the gay experience never meant to fit a modern mold let alone complement one another.
Virgine Effira was wrongfully snubbed here. Quite shocking (to say the least).

#IPlayRocky is a crowd-pleasing tribute to the making of a cinematic phenomenon. The tenacity behind Rocky is brought to life with infectious conviction. Anthony Ippolito doesn’t merely impersonate Stallone; he embodies him, capturing his voice, physicality, and fighting spirit.
This is an immaculate and diverse lineup. All of a Sudden, missing from Best Picture would be completely asinine.
Imagine this Best Picture line-up:
- The Odyssey
- You Can See Everything
- Dune Part 3
- Wildwood
- Project Hail Mary
- La Bola Negra
- Obsession
- The Invite
- Digger
- The Debut
I haven’t seen half of these but this would just look beautiful. Idea from @calroseee
Not entirely sure what to make of Tony Gilroy’s #Behemoth! The film is meticulously crafted, but its disparate pieces never coalesce into a cohesive whole, leaving more questions than revelations. Pedro Pascal delivers a nuanced yet curiously monotone lead performance.
#WildHorseNine reaffirms Martin McDonagh’s status as one of cinema’s finest comedic directors working today. A razor-sharp take on morality cloaked in espionage, the film belongs to John Malkovich, whose magnetic performance elevates every scene to extraordinary heights.

Every year I think about doing this, and I’m glad I finally followed through with it today.
Today is International Stuttering Awareness Day, and one way I wanted to try to spread awareness is by sharing 3 films that I think have some of the best representation of stuttering 🤍
Elsinore is Andrew Scott's finest achievement. His portrayal of Ian Charleson in his final days battling AIDS, leading up to his legendary performance in Hamlet, is nothing short of transcendent. The film hinges on Scott's perspective and the path he chooses is beyond majestic.
