but you're comparing your actual circumstances to an imaginary marriage in which everything worked out. you have no idea what the alternative would have looked like.
you could just as easily be 40, divorced, financially devastated, and wishing you'd never gotten married in the first place.
marriage does not solve the problem of loneliness. it's an enormous commitment with its own costs and risks.
your dissatisfaction with the result of your choice is not proof that the other choice would have been better.

On Sunday night had to do an mri scan which needs you remove all piercings. My industrial piercing ended up getting blocked because I didn't have energy to put the pin back. Now I'm debating reopening it or turning it into a double helix piercing
