@_denisescott I was a bit worried about how #MotherAndSon remake would turn out. You absolutely did it proud! @mattokine brilliant! Thank you for bringing back a Classic and doing it well.

Could kick myself for binge watching #MotherAndSon on #ABC iView. Now what am I going to watch at 8.30pm tonight? As for those yet to check it out, do yourselves a favour! It stars #Thornbury’s own @_denisescott and @mattokine, who probably wishes he lived in Thornbury.

@_denisescott I am LOVING your Maggie. Loved Ruth’s but you’re bringing such a great alternative. Clever writing and really enjoying the similarities vs differences. Thank you for taking on this project. More series’ pleas Auntie!!! – at Adelaide, South Australia

Caught the first episodes on iview too Wendy. The tone is perfect It's very difficult to balance and get that delicate sweet spot between satire/humour and pathos/sadness. It has just enough of the bitter sweet (ps: I've never seen the original, so I'm not comparing)

Didn’t think I could love John Farnham more…but there you go! What a legend ♥️

Australian music legend John Farnham has thrown his support behind the Yes campaign, allowing his iconic anthem "You're the Voice" to be used in a television ad to encourage Australians to vote in support of the Voice. #VoiceToParliament #VoteYes

Dear @_denisescott @mattokine Huge congrats to both of you for #MotherAndSon. I love the ensemble cast and the delightful warm-hearted tone of the show. But I esp. enjoy all the little moments (the small pauses, the glances, witty asides) from each of you. It's so good. 😊

This 'remake' is so far removed from a 'remake' it allows both versions to stand on their own merits. There's so much more in the new version I love without feeling I'm cheating on the original. 🥴

Exactly and well put! I was reluctant to watch the new version because I loved the original so much, but after 2 episodes, I am absolutely loving the new version. It is truly a modern day homage to something old(er) that was fantastic and loved.

Loved it ❤️ Big fan of the original. This is a really great take for modern Australia. All the warmth, humour and love was still there. Maggie still loosing it but lovable, Arthur still a bit inept but caring. Robbie still looking for opportunities. Well written and performed. 💜
