Buy iPhone 18 or Invest the cash?
Peer pressure is real. Anyways, I am retiring my iPhone 13 Pro for the iPhone 18 Pro. I like blue so Glacier was the natural choice to replace my beloved Sierra Blue 13 Pro😅.
Back to the purpose of this tweet, Apple offered a 30 month interest free instalments. Whilst I can afford to pay for the phone outrightly, I decided to do an experiment.
I took the offer and then today at the time of collecting the phone, I bought Apple shares worth the same amount ~£1,200. The goal is to see whether the investment return will pay for the phone outrightly or perhaps partially.
Apple was trading for ~$335 at the time of purchase. I will come back to this tweet in 30 months In sha Allah to see whether this strategy works or not. 😊
You could be earning over a million naira every month, yet the quality of your life keeps deteriorating because you have to constantly “work” for every naira you earn.
The irony is that some people even resort to pills just to stay afloat and keep up with the demands of the job.
This is the reality for some of my colleagues in the big accounting firms.
No 1 is giving ‘Visa on Arrival’ vibes.
Madam Hope!
My Naija trip in 10 points.
1. Lots of people rendering unsolicited help and then standing on business for payment as if you had previously negotiated.
2. Almost every service provider or attendant expects you to pay extra even after paying for expensive services.
3. The lack of regards for other road users, seems to have gone extremely out of the roof. Lots of mad people driving or even using the road, as that’s the only explanation to the insanity going on.
4. Things are extremely expensive and I still wonder how people survived. My last trip was in 2023 but things have gone way south!
5. You can’t park anywhere or stay by a roadside for a minute without anyone begging you for money. Heck, I was in a flip flop and a 3/4 short and a shirt at some point with a nylon bag and still got harassed. I thought my dressing was extremely normal enough to avoid it but it wasn’t.
6. There’s a POS merchant 3 out of every 5 consecutive house/shops.
7. There’s a lot of cashless transactions highly facilitated by the fast payment transfer infrastructure by the Fintechs.
8. A lot of individuals use - Opay and SME Business - Moniepoint.
9. The quality of some major road repairs were of extreme quality when compared to experience of the past. Lagos/Ibadan and Lagos/Badagry being two of those.
10. Virtually every household have their own self generating power backup- Solar, Inverter, Sunking etc. Practically, every where I visited!

When I see people cry about rejections, it reinforces belief on why people generally turn out with different life outputs.
Aggressive application phase isn't 2-3 per day,
It is 40-50 every day for 2 months straight, knowing fully well that all you need is one YES.
I’ve switched to Peak yoghurt for a while now and I am loving it.
I just watched this Hollandia yoghurt video and checked the one I have at home. Turns out mine is also fake.
And I bought it from a supermarket!
At this point, we really need to take exercise seriously.
We can’t totally avoid all these fake products, but we can at least try to stay healthy enough to fight back.
I like people like this, not because i believe the share price won’t dip, but because he was willing to drop his take publicly beforehand, unlike the ones that don’t have the balls to, and will now come back one year after to tell us “you people slept on Dangote refinery”
Mark my words.
Once the Refinery lists it would never come back below N525. That's our view based on both financial and market analysis.
If you disagree let's make a bet.
We will all be here to see as it unfolds.

Should we buy Dangote Refinery Shares or not? Talk now!
Not when it’s September 2027, you will now come with your “if you had bought Dangote last year” talks

Good day @Ssaasquatch , I wanted to come back and give you an update, but more than that, I wanted to say thank you.
When I reached out to you, I was honestly quite puzzled about what to do with myself. I knew I wanted to transition into finance, but I didn't have a background in it and wasn't entirely sure what the path was supposed to look like.
I moved from Anambra to attend the Edubridge finance program, courtesy of @Rufyb who sponsored me, and it ended on August 30th. Honestly, it was an insanely beautiful experience. I met incredibly smart people, learnt a lot, challenged myself and, thankfully, came out with a few things to show for it.
My team won the Stock Pitch Finals, and I was also awarded the Most Enterprising Student for my cohort. 🥹
But as happy as I am about those achievements, what I'm perhaps most grateful for is that I can look back and see that the confusion I had when I reached out to you was not where the story ended.
You gave me direction at a time when I really needed it, and I've carried that with me since.
Now, I'm back as promised🙂
I'm ready for that conversation, sir. I'd really appreciate the opportunity to sit down with you and talk about where I go from here. If it's possible, I can come by your office 🙂
I also have a little gift for you as a token of my appreciation. One of them is courtesy of the just-concluded Afiolu Nnewi 😂. I'd love to bring it myself if you're okay with that.
Thank you again, sir.♥️

Do a finance course on @edubridge_ng then get back to me. I wouldn’t mentor you but as a fellow Nnewi guy, I could provide some direction.
