MEA is what the devs wanted to ME1 to be. but back then the technology & engine they had didn't allow for the og to be what they envisioned :) it was a really ambitious project but devs had only 18 months to make MEA (it was rewritten and remade many times) while being understaffed and inexperienced with Frostbite engine so i really appreaciate what we got and mourn what we would've had if they weren't forced to work on Anthem right after MEA dropped

I really adore aspects of ME: Andromeda especially the design for the Initiative itself and the character of Ryder and the idea behind the Pathfinders. Really wish it was more willing to be a spiritual successor to ME instead of trying to port over all parts of the og IP

EA doesn’t understand that games like Mass Effect are to be enjoyed not just for the sake of profit and fulfilling numbers on a spreadsheet. I understand it takes investment and you expect ROI but pushing something out that you know isn’t ready will fail to meet expectations.

Kinda want to try and start a movement to free BioWare from the clutches of EA. Or at the very least apply enough pressure as fans to allow BioWare to reclaim their creative freedom to do what they do best and that’s make incredible stories and worlds. #FreeBioWare
