Their incarceration is the latest in a string of arrests as part of the Odisha state government’s attempt to quell the peaceful protests by Dailt and Adivasi people, who are fighting to preserve their natural resources.

The breach of an embankment along the Gandak river led to severe flooding in parts of #Bihar, leaving communities to cope with its aftermath.
In Rampurawa village, Yogapatti block, West Champaran, 200 Shelter-cum-Hygiene Kits were distributed to support families affected by the floods.

World-leading cardiac surgeon Asif Hasan was surrounded by the children who received the gift of life thanks to his unerring skills at the emotional climax of another memorable Pride of Britain ceremony. 🥹
Now 70 years old, Mr Hasan has just retired after 35 years of service at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, but just after receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award, he had an extra special surprise: a cast of patients who would not be alive without him. ❤️
