The Speed of Light is humanity's greatest defence in the Pursuit of Liberty.
Not a constitution, not a movement but a hardcoded as a law of the universe.
Here's why 🧵
If nations don't get their public finances in order, "trading through" sovereign debt will become commonplace for large companies with stable cashflow & a global presence. The country's debt is no longer the safest asset in the room
Most people don’t yet grasp what is happening in France. Markets are pricing French sovereign debt as junk, rating agencies will eventually have to follow. This will have two major impacts:
1. Most French banks are already rated at or just below the sovereign, so a move toward junk would likely drag domestically focused lenders with it. Credit to households and firms would slow sharply, hurting the economy and widening the fiscal deficit even further, a vicious cycle.
2. For the ECB, the constraint is legal as well as financial. A fall below investment grade would force sales by ratings-bound investors while making any backstop harder to justify under current rules.
The next euro crisis will begin in France. The first, which began in Greece, will feel like a walk in the park compared with what comes next.
What's more even adjusted for inflation the bottom 50% grew close to 2X as well, with unimaginable technology & resources
Thirty-five years in Congress, and the man still cannot work a decimal point. The Fed publishes the number he cited. He cited it wrong by a factor of fourteen, in the direction that helped him, which is quite a coincidence.
His own source is the Federal Reserve's distributional accounts. Series WFRBLB50107 puts the bottom 50 percent's net worth at $717.8 billion in 1989, not $317.8 billion. For Q2 2026 it reads about $4.28 trillion, not $313 billion. The error is the only way to make 37 years look flat.
Here is the real series. Nominal net worth for the bottom half grew almost six times over. Adjusted for inflation, their real wealth more than doubled.
What fell is their share, from 3.5 percent to 2.3 percent, because the total grew faster than their portion of it. He saw a percentage drop and concluded people got poorer, which is the reasoning of a man who declares himself robbed because his raise was smaller than his neighbor's.

Mars Was Never Put on Hold
The Necessity of the Frontier
Civilizations that abandon their frontiers inevitably turn inward, stagnate, and decay. The fundamental driver behind Mars has never merely been planetary redundancy; it is psychological survival. Without a grand frontier to draw humanity forward, optimism dies. If there is nothing thrilling to build tomorrow, life ceases to be an adventure.
Every major venture Musk built was engineered backwards from that realization
The Tyranny of the Transfer Window
The sheer physics of orbital mechanics dictates that Earth and Mars align only once every roughly 26 months. You cannot run a trickle supply line across millions of miles; when the window opens, you have to launch a tidal wave.
To build a genuinely self sustaining civilization on a barren world, millions of tons of equipment, reactors, habitats, and tools must move across that biennial threshold. That requires thousands of Starship launches within a compressed timeframe. Supporting that launch cadence means hundreds of launch pads, massive propellant production plants, and dozens of orbital refueling tanker flights per mission.
If that gigantic infrastructure operates only once every two years, the economic model collapses. Capital costs left idle for 20 months out of every 26 are an anchor. To keep the machine alive, affordable, and constantly refined, that infrastructure must be used continuously.
Orbital data centers, satellite deployments, and space industrial hubs keep the launch pads warm and amortize fixed costs.
I think X should provide users with an option for an algorithmic cleanse. Like from time to time I should be able to select the type of feed I want. Will be very helpful for investors, founders & researchers
Two major issues here:
1. Treating future gains in the economy as not genuine growth of the pie but rather reallocation of the existing pie which is clearly not true. Wealth is created, not redistributed
2. Assuming Pickett's r>g, which in itself is a heavily criticized theory
There is very simple math behind the need to tax billionaires. Billionaire wealth is increasing at an accelerating rate vastly outpacing the overall rise in GDP. This means that their wealth is not growing because the whole pie is growing. Their wealth is growing at your expense and the trend is accelerating. If you are not a billionaire and you and your children want to own things, this is your fight.
Vikram-1's success shows us the only way forward for Space exploration & future settlements is via the private sector
250 Years of Presidential Exceptionalism. The Presidential model offers greater liberty to its voters, restricts the power of government and provides much needed political stability to allow a population to be innovative and achieve its ideals

People underestimate the amount of technology which will be developed to enable humanity to survive and thrive in space. Initially this tech will be expensive but once enough scale is achieved the cost will plummet and see economical option emerge for everybody.
Wonder how this news piece from Bloomberg about a potential buyout/merger of Cineplex impact the stock tomorrow. As a shareholder hope we see a break beyond the $15 mark. $CGX
Glad to see the space community use Artemis II as a catalyst to bring back Space into he narrative.
Such catalysts do not come very frequently so must be leveraged.
Learning from those in AI, Crypto and Politics is crucial. They know how to keep the narrative momentum intact
Technical glitches did cause streaming issues with Artemis II.
But what’s interesting was a lag built into nature. At its furthers the astronauts were 1.3 light secs away. So on a video call a 2.6 sec lag looks more than awkward.
Modern communication with Earth breaks down in Space
With Mars the same messages would take between 3-22 mins. Video calls and instant messaging is impossible. This communication delay provides much needed space for future settlements to build with lesser interference and surveillance from earth.
