One more thing on Clayface: I have worked at Deadline, THR, the Associated Press, and People Magazine to name severalâŠ.not a single one of them views embargoes the way the people bashing this critic/defending WB do. An embargo requires you to agree. Explicitly.
This! If a studio decided to have a public screening and critics who attend, that then means the embargo doesnât apply to them. Maybe donât hold a public screening lol. Itâs out in the world at that point.

I saw someone on here talking about how no one should ever work for free. They were talking about acting but I think it can equate to any film industry job. Look, while I know producers and execs are taking advantage more than ever, I just want to say that is insane advice.
I do work for free or dirt cheap all the time. Every "yes" from me boils down to at least one of four things: does it pay really well, is it for a close friend or someone I love collaborating with, am I obsessed with it creatively, or do I see a clear path how it could push my career forward. If one of those hits, I'm probably in.
I can pinpoint the VAST majority of higher paying gigs I've had directly back to a gig I did for free or for like $200/day. 90% of success in this industry is built on meeting awesome people and them realizing you are also awesome. This industry is all about stuff like that.
Don't get taken advantage of, but also don't immediately close the door on opportunities because of some made up rule.

Just to be clear, I am not leaving The Batman Part II. I am profoundly grateful to Steven for coming to my aid during this challenging time to help me finish principal photography. Thank you to all for your concern and well wishes. đŠ
With the trailer for #Josephine out now, let me tell you why this is a movie you NEED to see.
I donât know if Iâve ever wanted to reach through a movie screen and hug a character as badly as I did watching this film.
Mason Reeves absolutely floored me, while Gemma Chan and Channing Tatum deliver two of their best performances.
A deeply uncomfortable, heartbreaking exploration of childhood, trauma, and the terrifying realization that we canât always protect the people we love.
This movie absolutely devastated me, and I havenât stopped thinking about it since.
Winner of the Grand Jury and Audience Award Prizes at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, JOSEPHINE follows the psychological fallout after eight-year-old Josephine (Reeves) witnesses a brutal crime in Golden Gate Park. As she acts out, her parents (Tatum and Chan) struggle with helping their daughter cope, while facing the moral responsibility of demanding justice in a world thatâs lost its innocence.

#Remain is Shyamalan at his most earnest and sincere. Such a heartfelt and romantic throwback to his early work bolstered by another sensation James Newton Howard score. Arguably his most achingly vulnerable since Signs. A beautiful film about openness, intimacy, self love, and the denial of someone's ownership over your soul; about rekindling the spark within and fighting to live at every moment. Gyllenhaal is a perfect Shyamalan lead; subdued but soulful. Phoebe Dynevor is MAGNETIC balancing torment and tenderness with such charm and jubilance. Truly felt the classic Night magic with this one. #BeyondFest
Momma I made it!!! Crazy to see myself in a Variety article.
M. Night Shyamalanâs 'Remain' Earns Strong First Reactions: Jake Gyllenhaal Is âIncredibleâ in 'Scary as Hell' and 'Heartbreaking' Thriller variety.com/2026/film/news/mâŠ
REMAIN is unlike anything M. Night Shyamalan has ever done. His funniest film yet, but also heartbreaking, heartwarming, scary, romantic, and just absolutely beautiful.
The score pierces your soul, and Phoebe Dynevor and Jake Gyllenhaal are ELECTRIC together. Their romance feels real, the twists and turns kept me guessing, and at times it feels like an Agatha Christie novel brought to life.
Call it recency bias, but man⊠I think this might be my favorite M. Night film.
Iâm utterly blown away. THIS IS MY SHIT.

BEWARE BOIĂNA is the giant snake movie weâve been waiting for! Mike P. Nelson delivers a vicious, exhilarating creature feature that makes the Amazon itself feel alive.
Kiana Madeira is an absolute force, Jessica Rothe shines as always, and BoiĂșna is a creature-feature ICON in the making.
Big, brutal, beautiful and ridiculously fun.
