No matter who wins tomorrow's election in Israel, let's be clear: Israel is a racist, settler-colonial state and Zionism is predicated on the elimination of indigenous Palestinians who will remain subject to military occupation, apartheid, and genocide regardless of who is PM.

Dear Druze of Palestine.
Was it worth it?
You turned on us to prove your loyalty to them, but they still took your lands.
You sent your sons and daughters to their front lines, but it wasn't enough.
You changed your names and brutalized us to prove your worth to them, but they passed the nationality law to further codify your inferior status.
You looked the other way as they appropriated your ancient traditions to cosplay indigeneity, but they still stabbed your boys for speaking Arabic in public.
No matter what you do, you will always be a "dirty Arab to them." They'll use your young to destroy us; they'll take your lands and steal your water; they'll tolerate you as long as one tolerates useful idiots, then they'll murder you like they murder us.
that's what happened this week.

If genocidal monster Eisenkot wins, it will be a huge opportunity for Western barbarism and its official media to whitewash the
entity and fully erase its ongoing genocide from view. That’s why I much prefer “Israel” to be led by an indicted war criminal. I hope Israeli Jewish voters will agree and come out strong for Netanyahu!
The BBC’s Middle East correspondent frames the Israeli elections as Netanyahu against “leftist” and “centrist” figures like Eisenkot, whom she describes as “softly spoken” and “lowkey”.
What she leaves out is that he’s a former general and the architect of the Dahiyeh Doctrine, which calls for disproportionate force and deliberate targeting of civilians and their infrastructure.
In what world is that left wing?

🟢 Hamas is calling on the Arab League to hold an emergency meeting to confront Israel's policy of "re-starving" Gaza's population. Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem urged groups and movements across the Arab world to "take action on the ground" and pressure all parties to stop the starvation of Palestinians in Gaza.
He said Israel's renewed starvation policy cannot continue "amid the silence of the concerned parties."
The call comes as Israel lets in about 34% of the 600 aid trucks a day required under the ceasefire, according to a report the Palestinian side prepared for the truce's mediators. The UN's World Food Programme has also cut food aid to 500,000 people in Gaza over funding shortages.

What happens in Brazil won't stay in Brazil. Though the Brazilian people are casting their votes based on their own domestic considerations, their decisions will have global implications in a manner beyond those of all previous Brazilian elections.
Brazilian foreign policy has been unusually inclined to treat international law, sovereign equality, multilateral institutions, and peaceful dispute settlement as core principles, rather than mere aspirational goals.
Article 4 of Brazil's 1988 Constitution is quite remarkable. It explicitly prescribes principles such as human rights, self-determination, non-intervention, equality among states, and peaceful settlement of disputes. As such, "peaceful settlement" and "sovereign equality" are constitutional principles of Brazilian foreign policy.
It is not clear whether a Fávio Bolsonaro government will fully honor this crucial part of Brazil's constitution. His father was particularly critical of Brazil's traditional support for multilateralism, for instance.
And a shift in this specific area would come at a crucial point in history in which Brazil has emerged as one of the strongest and most principled supporters of multilateralism and international law, while European states have miserably failed to uphold these principles in recent years.
The fight to restore the centrality of international law and the UN Charter in international relations, reverse the trend in which norms around the use of force are weakened or hollowed out, and muster the political will to collectively address shared threats and challenges will be FAR MORE difficult without Brazil as a full and committed partner.

The Egyptian Pound is falling. That's not a sign of weakness, but a sign of good policy. Oil prices are spiking as fears of another hot war build, so the weaker Pound is offsetting all of that. Egypt deserves huge kudos for letting the Pound float...
