In power, Dems economically strangled us. Since 2024, they have given Trump a free hand to beat us down. Voting for Dems won't ease cost of living or stop attacks on immigrants/black ppl/women. It will just slow the building of a working-class fightback: iclfi.org/pubs/wv/1191/midte….
Mobilize Akbayan, Makabayan, PM, PLM, PKP-1930, Socialista, Kilusan and other leftists against the Marcos gang of U.S. lackeys, the pro-U.S. liberals and the right-wing populists.

National Democrats, Social Democrats, Socialists, Patriots! Mobilize in coordinated joint actions against Trump, Pax Silica and U.S. imperialism. The crisis in the Philippines is made worse by U.S. military aggression in the Gulf, Trump's tariff wars, & neocolonial impositions.

Many in the PH left cheer Lula's victory in Brazil. But with his conciliationism toward the imperialists and national capitalists, Lula will inevitably attack the workers and oppressed, leading to broad demoralization and the further rise of the far right.

Gracias! Salamat sa suporta!
I would like to look at my advocacy as broadly belonging to the democratic left, as i identified myself with the social democratic (Socdem) movement since my college days in MSU-Marawi.
i have a practical commitment to advancing workers’ rights through democracy, strong unions and civil society, and social justice.
I have studied Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, German, British, Australian, New Zealand, Singaporean, Indonesian, Malaysian, Japanese, Brazilian and American trade union movements to learn from their experiences and advance Filipino workers’ interests and aspirations. These movements represent diverse political and economic traditions.
i have an open mind, my approach is to learn broadly and judge ideas by how they improve workers’ lives. Studying different traditions may influence our thinking but does not mean subscribing to every ideology behind them.
Hindi kailangang maging Marxista para ipaglaban ang manggagawa. Ang mahalaga: dignidad sa paggawa, makatarungang sahod, at ang manggagawa ay tunay na boses sa demokrasya.

• No electoral alliance with the pro-U.S. liberals.
• No electoral alliance with the U.S. lackey Marcos administration!
• No support for the Duterte opposition, reserve horse of the U.S. imperialists.
For an anti-imperialist, socialist, working people's alternative.
Replying to @Hawkeye1745
Instead of reliance on island-building in the Spratlys or cultivating pro-Beijing bourgeois factions in the region, New China must rely on the masses and needs to build an anti-imperialist alliance with the Southeast Asian proletariat and peasantry.

The US ambassador walked into the Duterte stronghold, and the cameras loved it.
Ambassador Lee Lipton visited Davao City and met Mayor Sebastian "Baste" Duterte. Warm words, photos, talk of hospitality. No agreements announced.
Remember the context. Rodrigo Duterte is in The Hague facing the ICC, his camp has spent years attacking Washington's influence, and Sara Duterte is eyeing 2028.
So why the visit ? Washington hedging its bets. Whoever wins in 2028, the US wants the bases, EDCA and the alliance to survive.
The Dutertes get a photo of legitimacy. The Americans get insurance. Davao gets nothing on paper.

So what was the point of all this? The liberals won't press their case forward. What is the real agenda here?
It is to frame Sara Duterte as a China-funded malicious actor, a security threat; and thereby politically justify the U.S.-Philippines military build-up against China.
UPDATE: Presiding Officer Francis Escudero tells the defense team it no longer needs to present evidence on the three withdrawn impeachment articles (Articles 1, 3, and 4) after the impeachment court accepts the prosecution’s manifestation to withdraw them.
Escudero says article 3 is deemed withrawn without prejudice against the respondent since the prosecution did not present or deduce evidence under this.
The withdrawal of article 3 is limited to the trial alone.
Escudero rules that articles 1, 3, and 4 will not be submitted for the senator-judges' vote. The respondent will not need not to present evidence in defense of these three articles. The sub judice rule will also no longer cover the withdrawn articles. #VPOnTrial | via @victoriatulad
