Muito obrigado pela mensagem, meu amigo Zohran Mamdani. Esta foi uma vitória da democracia contra o extremismo político e a desinformação. Seguiremos firmes na defesa dos mais pobres e da justiça social.

e-bike and e-scooter collisions with…?
E-bike & e-scooter collisions are up over 30% this year. More than half of e-bike rider deaths from 2017 to 2025 involved illegal bikes going over 25 mph.
Today at City Hall, we're hearing from DOT, NYPD, delivery workers & advocates, while considering legislation that would:
✅ Create a trade-in program to get illegal e-bikes off our streets
✅ Stop illegal mopeds from being sold
✅ Set safe delivery time standards so no worker has to race the clock

One of my proudest accomplishments this year has been TA’s comms team taking Citi Bike affordability from something that riders privately grumble about, to now being an issue that’s taken seriously by press and elected officials.

a 15 year old is dead and they're calling it an 'e-bike collision'
Heartbroken by the death of a 15-year-old following last night’s e-bike collision at East 14th Street and First Avenue. My thoughts are with her loved ones grieving this unimaginable loss, and I’m wishing the other young rider a full recovery.
The investigation remains ongoing, and I am closely following it as we learn more.

This morning, running to arraignments for a fatal drunk driving incident, I crossed an intersection in Chinatown where a truck would ram into three people 20 minutes later, killing a 77yo man

Over the weekend, Jiayi Zheng was killed while crossing 3rd Avenue after an overnight shift at the hospital.
While she's far from the first person to die on this deadly street, she can be the last — & we're counting on the Mamdani administration to finish the stalled redesign.
