🔴ANDY BURNHAM: LUXURY FLAT PARTIALLY FUNDED BY TAXPAYERS How ‘man of the people’ @andyburn’s LUXURY London flat was part-funded by £16,000 of taxpayers’ cash The wannabe PM bought the two-bedroom flat in Kennington, South London, in 2005, when he was an MP. Mr Burnham snapped up the property for £215,000 with his wife after Dolphin Square – a notorious luxury apartment complex – was sold that year, reports the Daily Mail. The residents were given a pay-off to rip up their tenancy and move out with many MPs handing the cash over to Parliamentary authorities. But, according to the outlet, the self-styled “King of the North” negotiated a deal to add a windfall of nearly £18,200 to a second home allowance. In turn, this allowed him and his wife to both purchase and renovate the South London flat using taxpayer cash. Mr Burnham is said to have submitted an expenses claim totalling £16,644 to cover the purchase of the property, stamp duty and legal fees in addition to a brand new kitchen. As a result, he was able to avoid paying thousands in capital gain tax. He said at the time that it was “complete nonsense” to suggest he avoided the tax and denied making “any personal profit on this transaction”. He came under pressure the following year to repay the windfall after it was found that other MPs living in Dolphin Square had pocketed theirs. But he was ultimately not investigated by the Commissioner for Standards with a spokesperson saying it had actually “saved thousands of pounds for the taxpayer” and there was “no personal gain to Mr Burnham”. Burnham had also reportedly tried to claim for the mortgage interest on the flat as well as on his constituency address in the north-west. While he is also said to have had submitted an ineligible claim for mortgage capital rather than interest. The rules were changed in the wake of the expenses scandal of 2009 after an outcry over politicians splurging taxpayers’ cash to profit from their second homes. MPs were banned from using the expenses system to pay for their mortgage, and only allowed to use it to rent homes in London instead. Mr Burnham decided to keep his London flat and rent it out while charging taxpayers a reported £17,000 a year to rent a different flat for himself nearby. He was heavily criticised when the arrangement first surfaced back in 2012, when he was shadow health secretary under Ed Miliband. According to market experts, his second home has doubled in value since he bought it 20 years ago. His London flat is an ex council flat that would have been sold under the Right To Buy scheme at some point. The London housing market has got so expensive it is almost impossible for young people to get on the property ladder. Mr Burnham has previously hit out at people profiteering from the house price boom while others cannot afford their first home. He has also called for “lower rents” and even backed a rent freeze in a letter to then Housing Secretary Michael Gove in 2023. thesun.co.uk/news/39605254/a… express.co.uk/news/politics/…
More Burnham grift. All about what he and his wife can get out of being in politics. Just like when they rinsed the taxpayer through their Dolphin Square accommodation and the expenses scandal. A leopard never changes its spots…

In July 2013 Old Trafford was listed as an "Asset of Community Value" & a big play was made of the fact by @MU_ST 👇 That land is key to the Glazer-Rat regime coining it in off any new stadium plans, yet OT is no longer listed by @TraffordCouncil 🤔 1/2 trafford.gov.uk/council-data…

The Rat was brought in as a shield for the Glazers to do all the things they'd never have got through And he's not 'invested' anything in Utd - the capital the Rat (supposedly) put up was an indirect cost of buying the shares, so that the Glazers wouldn't have to put it back in
- These two Gimps are both "Executive Chairman" 👇 - Every big spending and operational decision is signed off by them. Joel Glazer has long history of interfering - "Executive" being in the title tells you how they are involved in day-to-day matters - Always been the case

Replying to @NikBoyle
Or as @Altgthr suggests, they are telling prospective buyers they don't need to worry about what happens on the pitch, they'll still make money. Are they looking to get out?

Is the toilet-dwelling pervert Martin Edwards really saying the Glazers ought to listen to the fans? 🤔 🤡🤡🤡🤡 Truly, we're through the looking glass, people...
Dropping later today - our chat with Martin Edwards. It’s a ‘must see’ for every United fan. If he wasn’t right about everything - he was most things inc appointing Fergie. Oh - there was never a ‘Mark Robins moment’ Fergie wasn’t getting sacked. #KeysGrayUnleashed

MAGA is dead. Reform are dying. Restore are irrelevant. Robinson, Tate and Brand are off to jail. This age of the grifter is coming to an end. Civilisation is rebalancing.

Manchester United used to have great left-backs Irwin, Evra, Heinze, Albiston, Houston, Dunne, Byrne and more. Now, with Dorgu as well as Shaw injured, they have a right-back out of position in every sense at left-back. Not Dalot’s fault, although some concentration would help. It’s partly Carrick’s - why not address the mess with Amass. It’s mainly Ineos’ fault - why not go all out for Lewis Hall in the summer? Rather than blowing the budget on three midfielders, only one of whom (Baleba) is deemed good enough to start. Great club badly run. #MUFC #MUNROM

They will never do this as the role elevates them in the wider support, + they're nothing without it The Glazer-Rat regime now cultivates nobodies like these to show compliance with 'fan consultation' section of ludicrous Football Governance Act 2025 overseen by @TheIFROfficial
The 7 Man Utd fans that sit on the fan advisory board should tomorrow all Resign and say:- “We no longer have confidence in the club’s leadership and cannot continue to represent supporters under the current circumstances.” Apply pressure @Drasdo @MUSTChair @dipsMUFC 👀 #mufc

This is the legendary Xennials. People born between 1977-83. We are truly the greatest (and smallest/shortest) generation. Big up and much love to all my fellow Xennials on here.
There was a whole generation between gen x and millennial, born from around 80-85, who are different than everyone else.
