2024 wrapped 🚀🚀🚀
- Shipped projects with an amazing team, supporting 15,000+ users in production.
- Made $25,000 from hackathons (started with $0), working less than a month total to free up time for other pursuits.
- Built my own AI agents with local LLMs, changed how I work.
- Took 10 flights in 2 months, still missed the Goa trip.
- Old MacBook died, downgraded from Pro to Air.
- Became an @AtriumAcademy alum.
- Learned to bake zero-sugar, high-protein brownies.

DeepSeek models are heavily discounted and seems to outperform in benchmarks but in our work, we found them unusable. They hallucinate a lot and are not reliable. What’s your experience with these models?
tried imagining what Alicia Berenson would look like in The Silent Patient and ended up being a mini director for an afternoon.
started reading the book yesterday, my mind's always pulled toward thrillers and was disappointed it doesn't have a movie yet. not even an accurate one. saw some AI renditions on YouTube casting Anne Hathaway but none of them felt true to the book's descriptions.
so I imagined it my own way. what she'd look like, what she'd sound like. she's a redhead in the book so I kept that, defined the characters' looks and voices myself, and stitched it together.

We saw some of the most interesting submissions to date, demonstrating the immense interest for decentralized governance powering startups on Solana.
Honorable mentions 👏
- @JustSparkdotFun

~5% voter turnout in Solana DAOs. ClawdDAO's answer: AI agents that internalize your governance values, vote through Realms on your behalf, and publish their reasoning to Tapestry so you can audit every decision.

i actually spend $86/month to build anything i can imagine:
– chatgpt: $23/mo
– claude code: $23/mo
– cursor: $40/mo
that’s all it takes to turn ideas into reality.

Many Node.js devs overlook `setImmediate()`. Big mistake.
While everyone uses `setTimeout()` and `setInterval()`, this function is a hidden game-changer.
It solves a critical problem for recursive operations.
❌ This will crash your application with a stack overflow:
function fetchData() {
if (moreData) fetchData();
}
✅ This is the correct, stable approach using `setImmediate()`:
function fetchData() {
if (moreData) setImmediate(fetchData);
}
Why? It instructs Node.js to execute the function on the *next* event loop iteration. This crucial pause prevents the call stack from building up endlessly.
Essential for reliable retry mechanisms, continuous polling, and managing heavy synchronous loops without crashing.
Understand this, and your Node.js apps will be far more robust.

Got bored and built a fake X payout screenshot generator for fun.
The hardest part? Getting the iPhone status bar to look 100% realistic. The X payout UI was straightforward to replicate, but those tiny status bar details took forever to nail.
2/ Every detail is editable. Automatic payout date range generation. Set custom amounts. Click of a button generation. No login required.
Try it: x-payout-simulator.vercel.ap…
I've had this doubt since seeing MCP. The only use case I see is adding custom functionality to an MCP client. As a developer, I already have tools and APIs.
I did just that and made pageminty.xyz to convert my markdowns to pdf instead of paying $5
Built deChat, an AI-powered chat interface for using DeFi on Sonic.
Made it to the top 18 out of 282 at the Sonic DeFi Hackathon — runner-up in Best Social Agent & deBridge Integration.
Solo build. Glad it got some love.

Javier Milei just DESTROYED the memecoin market:
Hours ago, Argentinian President Milei launched a memecoin, $LIBRA, for "the growth of their economy."
Within 5 hours, over -$4.4 BILLION of market cap was erased.
Is this the biggest rug pull in history?
