When the bar flips the bottom of the T-shirt, that’s a pretty decent reduction in horizontal displacement of the bar IMO.
Happy holidays and merry lifting to all. May you all be blessed with high quality PR’s. Cheers. – at Los Angeles, CA

13 weeks ago I was told to go make peace with my family, make sure my Will was in order & contact Hospice. Then I could only high bar squat the bar for 3. 8 weeks later I could do 95 lbs for multiple sets of 3. Today I hit 205 for 3 on quarter squats.

⚽ Our New Deceleration Research Paper shows:
⚡ Some players brake well in one COD test but struggle in others
🔑 Early-phase deceleration is key for COD
🏎️ Higher peak speed ≠ better deceleration

I’d like to announce that I’ve retained Terry Johnson as an assistant coach on our men’s basketball staff at Houston Christian University.
Coach Johnson has developed a good rapport around campus and comes highly recommended from our administration and other coaches around the country.
He comes from basketball lineage as the son of former Nevada, Stanford, LSU, and TCU head coach Trent Johnson. Most impressive, Terry has forged his own career path working his way through the coaching ranks having been an assistant at the NCAA D3, NCAA D2, and NCAA D1 levels.
Over the past week after spending many hours with Coach Johnson it was evident that he is hard working, humble, honest, and knowledgeable. I had to make him leave the office at 10:00 PM multiple nights last week. We will work on the work-life balance stuff!
I am pleased to welcome @CoachTJohnson_ as a continued member of the HCU men’s basketball coaching staff.

For sure @jb_morin! The clues and evidence are pretty clear.
Again, nobody saying "lift heavy and that's all you need to do." I'd say that folks like to head towards power training first or too early looking for speed, which is the less effective way, when strength is the issue. – at Bahamas
Runners, lift heavy, run stronger !🏋️♀️🔬
One more meta-analysis supporting the➕effects of high resistance strength training (not only plyo...). Adds the speed and level modulations ✅

In honor of Nick Saban’s retirement…
One of my favorite quotes from him:
“There are two pains in life. There is the pain of discipline and the pain of disappointment.
If you can handle the pain of discipline, then you’ll never have to deal with the pain of disappointment.”
