I want to speak to you directly about what happened.
Bottom line - your money is safe, and we're covering every loss.
Our initial investigation suggests this security incident may have started with a compromised DevOps engineer's laptop. That gave an attacker access to a service container, where they submitted unauthorized withdrawal transactions.
To be clear: the attacker did not simply use one engineer's permissions, and this was not a single "one-click" action. It involved a more complex attack process. Our investigation has not attributed responsibility to any individual.
So far, we have found no evidence of any wallet private key leak.
We'll share a detailed technical post-mortem once the investigation is complete and every fact is verified - and publish an updated Proof of Reserves once remediation is complete.
What you need to know:
• Your funds are safe
• Binance will cover all losses from the SAFU fund and company funds
• Estimated total impact: ~$6.3B, with ~$3B frozen on-chain so far, in coordination with our blockchain partners
• No evidence of any wallet private key leak
• Deposits are unaffected and operating as normal
What we've done:
• Temporarily suspended withdrawals while we complete a security revamp of the withdrawal service and its related addresses
• Revoked the affected address authorizations
• Engaged law enforcement and blockchain intelligence partners to trace and recover funds
Our team hasn't stopped. We're working closely with law enforcement to ensure the matter is handled appropriately - and I'll share what I can, as soon as I can.

When Jio was getting ready to launch in 2015, I remember being petrified to find myself on this Economic Times list of 10 businessmen to watch in 2016. Mukesh Ambani was #1, and I was #6, mainly because we had just made delivery brokerage free. We were, and still are, ants compared to Reliance/Jio. 😅
Looking back, what's phenomenal isn't just how big it has become. It's how much it has changed India and helped so many businesses start and grow.
We've been beneficiaries too. @Zerodha wouldn't be what it is today without Aadhaar and UPI. But just as important was Jio, along with Airtel, bringing millions of Indians online with affordable data.
Together, all of this made the huge expansion of Indian capital markets after COVID possible. Without this digital infrastructure, many online-first businesses would be much smaller, and a lot of today's consumer business models might not exist at all.
In 2016, India had roughly 2 crore unique investors. Today, over 13 crore Indians invest in the markets, and Jio played a big part in that.
I can't tell you whether to apply for the upcoming IPO. But both telcos have played a huge role in enabling an entire generation of Indian businesses like ours. And it's nice that the capital markets they helped grow can now help Jio raise money.
From the outside, it's easy to miss how much of our success depends on infrastructure built by others.

Spare us the lecture on “regime change is normal in a democracy.”
You know exactly what the phrase means when Prashant Bhushan and AISA’s Neha Bora use it while invoking Bangladesh’s Gen Z street movement that toppled a government outside the electoral calendar. That is not “oppose, expose and depose through elections.” That is a deliberate attempt to normalise extra-constitutional pressure, street veto and manufactured unrest.
If it is only about elections, why the hurry? Why the Bangladesh template? Why frame protests against the Election Commission as a “fight for regime change”?In a real democracy, governments change when voters decide at the ballot box, not when a handful of activists and opposition leaders decide the system is “dictatorial” the moment they keep losing. You yourself have used the phrase in purely electoral contexts before. The difference is context, and this context reeks of anarchy-shopping.
The BJP is not “apoplectic with feigned rage.” We are simply refusing to pretend that “regime change” + Bangladesh reference = routine parliamentary opposition. India is not Bangladesh. Our institutions, our voters and our Constitution will decide the next government in 2029, not street theatrics dressed up as high principle.
Do your job in Parliament and on the campaign trail. Stop trying to import instability and then gaslight the country about dictionary definitions.

lol dude this is nothing. You are over reacting. This is pretty normal.
In a few days, I have to go to court in a legal battle between us, a transport company and one of India’s biggest Ecom marketplace.
We made private label goods for them. They did not have space in their Ecom warehouses to keep, cos if they inward the goods, they will have to pay as grn occurs.
So as demand was less for their own private label and to maintain their own cash flow, they told is to give goods to the transporter who would keep it in his own warehouse. This was some shady transporter buy they told us so we kept it, so did other dozens of manufacturers.
Cos goods were not getting in warded, the transporter thought let me just start selling these goods, so he sold the goods and no one knew for months. And then he closed the company and ran away.
Now Ecom company said they are not liable and most left the organisation, with time writing paras on LinkedIn on amazing growth they gave to the Ecom pvt label.
If you wanna do business in India, just be ready cos anything can happen.
We talk about ease of doing business in India and compare it with China, there’s one big difference I’ve noticed:
In India, no one wants to feel accountable.
Let me share my experience with one of India’s biggest shipping companies, Delhivery.
I’m a co-founder of an electrolyte brand. We sent two packages worth almost ₹1lakh to Ladakh for the Ladakh Marathon because we wanted to sell them at the event.
They failed to deliver them and shipped them back to us.
For the next 40–45 days, there was no update on where the packages were. We kept following up, but nobody gave us a clear answer.
After 45 days, they told us the packages were lost and simply closed the case.
We were shocked by the lack of accountability. No explanation, no apology, no guilt. Just, “It’s lost.”
And when we asked why, how it happened, or what the next step was, nobody had an answer. Delhivery team doesn’t answer calls. We tried reaching out to different people, and most of them either said, “It’s not my department,” or cut the call.
Our team got stuck in an endless loop.
Shipping aggregator says to contact the shipper.
Shipper says to contact someone else.
Delhivery team doesn’t answer.
And the biggest loser is the entrepreneur who is willing to do business.
I’ve dealt with Chinese suppliers and logistics companies before, and the difference in accountability and service is very noticeable.
They are desperate to do business with you. They take ownership, respond quickly, and try to solve the problem.
That’s what ease of doing business should feel like, not this, definitely!

I was subject to an elaborate scam yesterday. Parcel comes home via @delhivery COD. Everything perfect, my name address phone number. But nothing about the sender. My son pays. I have not ordered anything. See what was sent. A half torn used kurta. What they call chindi. Delhivery obviously saying collect your money from sender. I have no clue who the sender is. I wonder how many folks have been scammed this way. Any help will be welcome. It’s a small amount but just the principle of the thing.

What an amazing view and video.
Today this small calf of 3–4-days was swept away by the Teesta River near Gajoldoba and found several kilometres downstream. While mother was looking after it.
With the timely efforts of the Baikunthapur Forest Division, support from local fishermen, and veterinary care, the calf was safely rescued and reunited with its mother, who immediately accepted and nursed it.
Just look at how mother behaved !!

I went through trainings when I got promoted for the first time to the management track. They were good. They taught me how to run 1:1s and give feedback.
But they didn't teach me the messy middle. Three moments from the last few years still stick with me.
And the question remains.
Who trains the managers? New post on my blog ⤵️

Dario has written that we need to “pace the frontier,” and Sam has agreed. People may be surprised by my response: go ahead.
You guys are the frontier. By any reasonable metric — market share, revenue growth, model capability — the two of you have a duopoly on frontier intelligence. You’ve also claimed the lead is widening because of recursive self-improvement.
I don’t see what you see in the lab. If the unreleased models are scary enough that you think you should slow down, I support your decision to be responsible.
But stop pretending you need anyone else’s permission. Stop pretending antitrust law has to be suspended so you can form a cartel. Stop pretending you need a regulatory approval process that supersedes product liability. Stop pretending METR is independent when it is intertwined with Anthropic’s investors and staff. Stop pretending you need those same evaluators to police competitors who aren’t even at the frontier.
Most of all, stop pretending the motivation to slow down is purely altruistic. You face massive product-liability exposure if your products enable a truly damaging cyberattack. The market already punishes models that behave in unpredictable or unauthorized ways. After the Hugging Face episode, it is simply good business for OpenAI and Anthropic to trade some raw power for reliability and predictability. Call it alignment if you want. It is also just giving customers what they want.
Pacing the frontier would also create breathing room for a more intelligent conversation about regulation than Bernie Sanders’ “shut it all down.” China is very unlikely to join a global agreement, as you know, and that has to be taken into account as well.
So go ahead and pace the frontier. You are the ones setting it. The easiest way not to build superintelligence is for you to agree not to build it. Demanding your preferred regulatory framework as the price of that will look like blackmail of the public and the political system. So just do it.
If you do, you’ll buy goodwill for the next conversation. If you don’t, we’ll know this was just another bid for regulatory capture — or an election-season psyop.

What a despicable criminal Mr Santosh Pandit is! Some of his heinous crimes include -
- Showing the potholes on Pune roads.
- Showing poor traffic enforcement of @PuneCityTraffic @PuneCityPolice
- Pointing out violations by Netas and/or Goondas
- Raising awareness about civic issues.
Of course he deserves to be arrested.
I just wish we were a democracy!
