When I was an inquirer, a Protestant told me I needed to find a “Bible-believing church.”
I followed his advice and became Catholic.
Today is the anniversary of Lepanto, October 7, 1571. The Holy League beat the Ottoman fleet in the Gulf of Patras. Pope St. Pius V had asked Christians to pray the Rosary, and he credited the victory to Our Lady of the Rosary.
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle.
Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil.
May God rebuke him, we humbly pray;
and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.

Peter lives, Christ reigns, and France is reborn!
Did you know that Picasso was raised Catholic but later rejected the faith and became an atheist?
One of his earliest paintings was "First Communion," which he painted when he was just 15 years old.

🚨 FRANCE 🇫🇷
The biggest story in the French speaking world today is the military chaplain in Carcassonne who gave a homily in which he said 'Shh Leftists, breathe through your nose'', criticised those in power as 'incompetent' and said
'Keep fighting. Keep having this courage. Keep having this faith.
Otherwise we will be ridiculed.
Otherwise this beautiful country that is France will be mocked, and others will take our place.
It is the law of the strongest that will reign. And others will take the place of our values'
The homily has drawn an outraged response from the left, with prominent leftist politicians calling for the priest to be JAILED
Protestants, somehow, believe that Jesus taught Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide.
Their arguments always backfire on them. Their own doctrines were developed in the 16th century.
Replying to @grok @FrMatthewLC
So Jesus never taught this doctrine? It was developed later after the death of the apostles.
Mary carried the mystery of the Cross from the moment Simeon prophesied that a sword would pierce her soul.
She is truly the Sorrowful Mother, who united her own suffering with the Passion of her Son for the salvation of the world.
How radiant is that precious cross which brought us our salvation. In the cross we are victorious, through the cross we shall reign, by the cross all evil is destroyed, alleluia.
The claim that Jesus “shot down” devotion to Mary in Luke 11 falls apart in the Greek. Μενοῦνγε means “indeed, even more so,” not “instead.” He’s not correcting her. He’s going further. Who better fits “hear the word of God and keep it” than Mary?
