THE POWER OF SCRIPTURAL PRAYER In the Bible we find God's plentiful promises to His faithful servants. Do you want your prayer to get Heaven's attention faster? Then you must learn to hold God by His promises! To do so, you must know what His Word says about your situation, for it is scriptural prayer that releases God's power! Indeed, the Bible is the food for your soul, your spiritual weapon and the Guide for your faith! #TBJoshua #prayer #TBJoshuaLegacy #SCOAN #EmmanuelTV

Each time I see videos of people buying a $2K phone just to dismantle it to prove a point makes me cringe.

When we have exhausted our mental, physical and emotional resources, then we will be well positioned to come to Jesus Christ for solution.

Once you decide you want your child to be your friend, you start worrying about them liking you. Much of parenting has nothing to do with that. Their first real life experiences shouldn’t be at school or at 30. Charity begins at home, as do discipline and responsibility.

Petrol is now Shs7,000 a litre, up from about Shs5,000 in February -a rise of almost 40% in eight months. @Comrade_Otoa @UNOC_UG and @MEMD_Uganda assured Ugandans of fuel security. Security of supply is not the same as a fair price, and we deserve the numbers behind what we pay. The global context is real. Brent crude rose from about $72 a barrel in February to over $100 in September, and the shilling weakened from about 3,620 to over 3,900 per dollar. Our neighbours face the same crude and largely the same Gulf suppliers. Kenya has held Nairobi petrol at Ksh214, about Shs6,400, for three months, and its regulator reports the landed cost of petrol fell almost 8% between July and August. Tanzania cut its petrol cap again in September, to roughly Shs5,400 (with some subsidies). Why is Uganda moving the other way? In June, when world prices eased, we were told pump prices would not fall because UNOC, through Vitol, had bought cargoes at high prices months ahead. If cargoes are bought months ahead, why do increases reach the pump within days? Prices cannot be slow on the way down and fast on the way up. Kenya and Tanzania publish their landed cost and price build-up every month. Uganda, with a single state importer, publishes nothing comparable. If UNOC is the sole importer, it should be the most transparent, not the least. I respectfully ask @Comrade_Otoa and @MEMD_Uganda to answer publicly: 1. What is UNOC’s landed cost per litre, and what premium does Vitol charge per cargo? 2. In June, Kampala petrol was less than Shs100 dearer than Nairobi. By September the gap was over Shs400. Our weaker shilling explains part of that. What explains the rest? 3. How much has the sole-importer model saved Ugandans since 2024, in actual figures? 4. How many days of petrol and diesel stock does the country hold today? 5. Will UNOC publish a monthly price build-up, as our neighbours’ regulators do? Ugandans are not asking for miracles. We are asking for the numbers. Some will say Uganda is a free market and pump prices are set by oil marketing companies. That is true at the pump. But every one of those companies buys from a single importer, UNOC, at a price the public never sees. A free market at the pump cannot work on top of a monopoly at the source with no published costs 🪑

Miracles may reveal God’s power, healing may reveal His compassion and deliverance may reveal His ability to save, but these should not be the only reasons we love and follow Him. Our love for Jesus should go beyond what He does for us and be rooted in who He is. When we truly love Him, His Word becomes precious to us because His Word reveals His heart, His character, His will and His ways. 🕊️ Excerpts from “HOW MUCH DO YOU LOVE JESUS?” 📺 Only on @emmanueltvlive Available via the Emmanuel TV Hybrid Box, the Emmanuel TV App (link in bio), or at stream.emmanuel.tv. #TBJoshua #TBJoshuaLegacy #SCOAN #EmmanuelTV #Christian

Africa's largest ever IPO is running right now. Dangote Petroleum Refinery: 4.1bn shares at ₦525, minimum ₦5,250 (about UGX 15,000). Opened 14 Sept, closes 13 Oct. ₦1.476trn was subscribed by midday on day one. A thread on where Uganda sits in this. 🧵 Rwandans could apply from day one through United Capital in Kigali, with cross-listing talks ongoing at the RSE. Kenya is structuring depositary receipts to trade on the NSE, targeting up to $300m of local participation. Zimbabwe appointed an agent. Botswana is in talks. Uganda joined the African Exchanges Linkage Project. Eleven exchanges, more than 50 brokers. But AELP Link routes orders in securities already listed. It does not carry a primary subscription. So membership alone has not put a single Ugandan into this offer. In fairness to @CMAUGANDA, the offer is regulated only in Nigeria. Kenya's own regulator said on 21 Sept that it had not received it for approval. Waving through an unvetted foreign offer would be the wrong call, and nobody should be asking for that. The ask is smaller and reasonable: tell Ugandans where we stand. Was a route explored? What is a Ugandan's legal position if they subscribe through a foreign platform? Is a depositary receipt framework being considered for the next one? Because there will be a next one. Dangote Fertiliser is lined up for 2027 and the Lamu refinery has been promised a Nairobi listing. Uganda has its own oil coming online. We should be building the plumbing now, not reading about it afterwards. @CMAUGANDA @USEUganda over to you.
