Some of us grew up in homes where adults could traumatise you and still demand respect, where children were always wrong, and elders never apologised.
Now we're adults, trying to unlearn the damage without becoming the people who caused it.

Life is beautiful but it passes very quickly. Don't waste your unique moments on unnecessary arguments, anger or bitterness. Choose peace over conflict and kindness over harshness today. Make every single moment meaningful.
Have a great afternoon ❤️🙏

I know the price of everything they broke.

A man had been dating a lady for almost two years. When he finally decided to visit her family for marriage, things took a turn he never expected.
According to this guy,, the lady's mother said she wanted the marriage list, drinks, bride price and everything that came with the traditional marriage to be handed over to her.
Her reason? She was the one who raised the daughter, took care of her and did everything for her. The girl's parents were divorced, and her father was no longer living with them.
But the man disagreed. He argued that, according to the tradition he knew, the father should be involved in receiving the marriage items, even if the parents were no longer together.
The disagreement became heated, and the man left. When he got home, he told his girlfriend to pack her things because he could no longer continue with the marriage.
I understand that the mother may feel she deserves recognition for everything she sacrificed to raise her daughter. But what happens to the lady??
Now here is the question,
Is the mother wrong for wanting the marriage items and bride price handed over to her because she raised her daughter?
Is the man right to insist that tradition must be followed?
Should a disagreement like this be enough to end a relationship of almost two years?

Not all husbands are clueless.
Some just haven't been told what they did yet.

If you visit a married person and their spouse doesn’t come out to greet you even for a second, no matter what excuse they give you, you’re not welcomed in that house.

Omo, saying NO doesn’t make you a bad person.
Show respect, but also know that you’re allowed to have boundaries.

My boyfriend made me lose my virginity by threatening to break up with me if I refused to have s£x with him. I love him so much that I eventually gave in.
I was in my first year in university, while he was in his final year. I thought I was the only girl in his life, but I was wrong.
On Valentine's Day, he told me he was travelling. I later discovered that another girl he has been seeing came to spend the day with him. I've seen their chats before, but I ignored the signs because I didn't want to lose him.
One morning, I went to his house without telling him I was coming. To my surprise, I met a girl there wearing his shirt and boxers.
This was a girl he had told me was his ex.
He immediately started explaining that they had attended a departmental party the night before and that he only allowed her to sleep over because she couldn't return to her hostel.
I asked him if he was the only person she could have stayed with, especially since he claimed they were no longer together.
He kept insisting that nothing happened between them.
Now I'm confused because he keeps saying I misunderstood the situation, and that I should trust him.
Do you think it's possible that nothing happened between them, or should I just end this relationship and move on?

My faith in Jesus Christ is literally holding things together in my life right now and I cannot imagine my life without him. At times I need the strength to overcome my struggles and the endurance to keep going, He basically provides it for me for which I am eternally grateful

Men and women can both make mistakes in relationships.
But when cheating becomes a pattern, covered by lies and secrecy, “it was a mistake” isn't enough.
One mistake is one thing. Repeated choices are another. Accountability has no gender.

Me realizing I'm turning into someone who doesn't care about anything anymore but maybe that's okay, because when I cared with everything in me, they treated me like it meant nothing.
