slightly controversial take as a childcare provider and daycare worker of 20 years… she’s not wrong, because most parents work this week and those who aren’t probably desperately need to get stuff done before they do go back. but the problem is not with the parents or kids. it’s because daycare admin and c levels CHRONICALLY and grossly understaff and underpay. – at San Antonio, TX

the mental switch from “why am i not enough?” to “it’s strange that there are people in my life that make me feel that i need to prove my worth to them” is so drastic and sudden tbh.

My mentor told me “you have so much on your plate you can’t taste any of it.”
you ever hear something seemingly simple that unintentionally changed the way you view life?

Being an adult can also be about catching up on things you missed out as a child. Buy that plushie, eat that ice cream everyday, watch that cartoon, hell start jokingly believing in Santa again, who’s gonna stop you??
Whats your opinion about Adulthood that will have you like this?

No because “behavior” is often an indication of a child’s needs, environment, skillset(lack of) and circumstances. Withholding a gift won’t remedy the root cause. Hot take: a gift is an item given to someone without expectations of something in return (good behavior included).
Is ok to not buy your kids gifts if they were "bad" all year?

I feel like as an educator, I'm having to remind too many people in education that all behaviors are a form of communication and if a CHILD is wilding, somebody needs to sit down and figure out why. – at Cloverleaf, TX

Nondisableds are shocked when I’m not insecure about being disabled and I shoot my shot at a guy I find attractive in public. They be like “omg you’re so brave bc if I was you, I could never.” Like babes that’s you. Me? I’m about to show him why I’m a meal on wheels 🤭

You win zero points for not getting an epidural. (Clearly, if you DON'T one that should be respected too.) Why is childbirth the only medical procedure where we valorize pain? It's so ludicrous and we need to stop perpetuating this nonsense.
What opinion about Pregnancy would put you in this position.

If we had had the political will in 1991 when the feasibility of a 185 mph rail was studied between the Twin Cities and Chicago, we could travel between these two metros in just over 3 hours instead of the current 8 hours. This alignment is a no-brainer.

“Racially motivated” is not accurate language. The phrase you’re looking for is “motivated by racism.”

it’s so wacky when people are like “every generation thinks the world is ending” o yea for example around 1914 and 1939 when everything was, famously, fine
