Teammates still don’t have a solid understanding of their Heroes even after 8329492 games 😭. Most of them don’t even know how to counter the enemy team with items because they’re too busy blindly following their L->R build.

People really don’t understand how GOOD Deadlock’s Ranked requirements are.
They’re designed this way for a reason: to make it miserable for smurfs to fire up fresh accounts and wreak havoc in Ranked lobbies they have no business being in. Valve knows exactly what they’re doing.
My advice to all the new players coming into Deadlock? GET YOUR REPS IN. You’ve got a ton to learn regardless, so enjoy the journey. By the time you unlock Ranked, you’ll have a solid understanding of your Heroes, and more importantly, so will the teammates you’re getting queued up with.
We also need to break out of this one-trick mentality that’s become so common in competitive games. Ranked Draft is coming, and that cowardly dodging shit isn’t gonna fly.
Put in the work. Learn a few Heroes. Expand your game. Embrace the learning curve and have maaad fun doing it.

btw polymarket just bought a twitter account for their deadlock presence :) :) and they're hosting a deadlock tournament from what I'm hearing. I knew we would get flooded by all the gamba stuff eventually, it's just disheartening
I'm happy we get to see more deadlock tournaments, but 1win is not it. Not only have they done some shady copystriking in the past, they're literally a casino and the event is only watchable on their website.
They will send a copystrike to your channel if you watch the tournament in-game, even though they have 0 rights to the content in-game as it is owned by Valve, at least AFAIK - I'm not a lawyer.
They'll block the MatchID. They force you to watch it on their website. All so they can promote 1win and their gambling. I understand that this is really the only tournament with significant money in Deadlock, but it's just them trying to normalize gambling.
You can literally already place bets on Deadlock games on their website.
I don't fault the players or even the staff for working on the event, I understand people want to participate in Deadlock tournaments and there are not a lot of options. But I do think we should be careful as a community of normalizing gambling.
Any news on the next ranked season in Deadlock? I’ve been busy with other stuff lately. Do we know if there’ll be a full reset or new placement matches? Are they planning to make any changes to the ranked system as a whole, or is it still too early to know anything?
