I launched my Chrome extension to 37 followers on X.
It got 340 views.
So I posted the exact same demo across 7 subreddits:
• r/developersIndia: 7.2K views
• r/Btechtards: 4.8K views
• r/browsers: 3.0K views
• r/SaaS: 2.3K views
• r/indiehackersindia: 804 views
• r/SideProject: 518 views
• r/IMadeThis: 224 views
Total in 5 days: 25,200+ Reddit views → 1,122 website visitors.
3 takeaways if you're launching with 0 followers:
1. Generic "launch" subs (r/IMadeThis) are dead - post where your actual users complain about their workflow.
2. Lead with the 10-second annoyance ("free Excalidraw only gives you one board unless you juggle .excalidraw files").
3. Put good music on the demo video-half the comments either asked how I edited the video or said they were just vibin to the track.

Presenting EXCALIBOARD, a complete file management system around Excalidraw
Why I built it: I love Excalidraw, but it gives you one board. Every new idea meant wiping the last one or juggling .excalidraw files. So I built the workspace around it.
No account. No servers. Everything stays on your machine.
