"Irrespective of how many good deeds you may have done, don’t be amazed by your actions."-Sh. Ibn 'Uthaymeen.
Look at my dawg man.
🇫🇷 French presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon pledged Saturday that, if elected, French navy ships would escort citizen flotillas trying to break Israel's blockade of Gaza “if necessary."
"We will act head-on to help the Palestinians, against both the genocide in Gaza and the gradual annexation of the West Bank," Mélenchon, the leader of the left-wing party La France Insoumise, said at a rally at Le Bourget, near Paris, where he presented his program for the 2027 election.
He said France would not accept Israel's "gradual annexation" of the West Bank, southern Lebanon or the Golan Heights.

لعلّ الحبّ في تجلّيه الأصدق هو أن تنظر إلى أحدهم بعد عمرٍ من الوحشةِ في جلدك وتقول: أنت لغربتي وطن.
Truly man, it's so cool to see their interests, pursuits in life and general journey.
Always rooting for people man.

The directors’ class backgrounds become very clear when you watch these movies. it’s convenient for workers to be erased by capital/tech in No Other Choice to neatly make its point, whereas Possible Love confronts and wrestles with those displaced workers head-on
We got Bosnian Nigerians out there too?!?!?!??!
One of the moments from Possible Love that hit for me was where Mi-ok and Ye-ji were in the car and shared that they’re of a similar age.
But the movie does such a good job of showing how labor robs you of your youth. 40 is still so young yet it’s taken a toll on Mi-ok.
Ahn Mi-ok being this person who is incredibly forward with her emotions, and Ye-ji subconsciously thinking less of her from the time she shared her childhood moments of watching her mother wash cars.
Just so much to cut into in each scene they share together.
Just finished Possible Love and what a movie man. Poetry was my first encounter with Lee Chang-dong, and he is just special.
Jeon Do-yeon as Ahn Mi-ok is probably my favorite role I've seen all year. Words fall short of her performance.
I used to romanticize grief to a degree and view it as this thing that must make you stronger, better, whatever the case must be. Sometimes that doesn’t necessarily happen and you’re a bit worse off.
But that’s ok as well.
Was one of my favorite scenes of the movie where Latif displayed so many emotions: Grief for the passing of his wife, vulnerability with the way he's finding himself in such odd places for the sake of his child, and a moment of comfort where his wife has come to mind.
I'll be honest, I def don't find those "we are learning Arabic" type tweets funny at all from people man.
Islamophobia barely gets any mention or recognition when it happens to people. No one really does anything about it either.
