the "it's an archive! so everyone can access it!" point is. really weird to me as someone who manages my library's archive. because it is in fact not accessible to everyone, most archives require permission and a reason to specially access it. u can't just walk into archives lol?

I'm already seeing ppl say this is bc of the gdrives. This site has almost 16 mil fics (to ao3s almost 18 mil). It isn’t possible for drives to be the source off of the simple fact they have nowhere near that many ff on them. AI was most likely used scrape ao3 before it went down

So ao3 [dot] life is a website whose domain was JUST registered today, with millions (?) of fics as audiobooks within their database. Honestly this is highly suspicious — DO NOT email this site for taking your fics down, they have no business knowing that kind of information.

Nvidia intentionally crippled their $1,000 graphics cards so average consumers couldn’t use its full computing power. Why? Because they sell the exact same chip to big tech companies for $7,000+. Modders have now cracked Nvidia's software paywall, proving we were sold intentionally downgraded hardware just to protect their corporate profits. This is some bullshit. Also means people bought bigger more expensive cards than they needed to.
