Two helicopters crash at Pheriche in Everest region, one dead.
TRAGEDY IN THE AIR
According to officials, a Fishtail Air helicopter and an Air Dynasty helicopter collided while landing at the Pheriche helipad.
“A passenger of Fishtail Air died and a captain sustained injuries,” officials who witnessed the scene said, adding that they were collecting details.
The Fishtail Air helicopter was piloted by Captain Prajjwal KC, while the Air Dynasty helicopter was commanded by Captain Rabindra Prajapati. Prajapati was injured, while the deceased foreign tourist has not yet been identified.
A Simrik Air helicopter has reached the site, and rescue operations are underway, officials said.

The BJP’s doors have effectively been closed to genuine feedback. The party is now almost entirely dependent on the personal success and political capital of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as both a leader and a politician.
It also tends to treat any criticism of its mistakes or miscalculations as a conspiracy, which leaves virtually no room for honest dialogue or internal discussion.
On a near-daily basis, one BJP leader or another can be seen mocking or belittling the party’s own supporters and their ideological commitments.
Power has become heavily centralised, with little tolerance for dissent even from within the party. Core ideological positions are often diluted or set aside for short-term electoral gains, creating a growing disconnect between the leadership and the cadre. Internal democracy has weakened, and decisions are increasingly driven from the top rather than through broader consultation. As a result, long-standing supporters frequently feel sidelined or taken for granted.

Every time, the usual suspects say, "this time is different", "it feels unique, "this time it has young people and women". The fact is, they say the same thing every damn time. Their words don't even change now. This isn't analysis. This is a weird mix of hopium and copium. Look, I get that you want Rahul Gandhi to win. But say it openly, like I say I vote for the BJP and would prefer them to win. But even so, I set my BJP preference aside when I try to look at what might happen.
I have stopped watching PM Modi's speeches by and large. I will make an exception here or there for word analysis in large models. I can predict what he will say and what Rahul Gandhi will say based on a solid speech model. But I am not foolish enough to think Mr Modi wins because of his speeches, or that Rahul keeps losing because of his speeches. Voters look at delivery, and they base their preference on that. Do not insult the Indian voter. The voter picks who he/she wants to pick and goes with them.
Also, this isn't the first time the Indian opposition has filled Ramlila Maidan. Gosh, a giant chunk of Indians still vote for them. So that is the bare minimum any serious political outfit will achieve. FYI, Raj Thackeray also fills up Shivaji Park. That is a different matter; he cannot win elections. But again, Ramlila Maidan got full, and people started the usual copium and hopium. Please be better when you do any socio-political analysis. Look at things longitudinally. Look at past instances and then see what happened electorally after that. If your claim is that Rahul does these yatras to enthuse his own core base and cadre, then I am with you. Any good politician should do that. But everything else is bullshit, and it is my duty to point it out for folks who rely on such charlatans for analysis.

Rather, it's the ordinary citizens ( although still very small percentage ) coming in for Opposition rally on their own + vibrancy and creativity in cadres unlike routine boring monologue/sloganeering.
