Lovely morning, lovely volunteers. The only thing spoiling parkrun is it allows men to run in the women’s category.

Politicians in the Senedd sometimes seem to be far removed from the general public, but their irresponsible and inflammatory rhetoric can spill out of the Cardiff bubble and into the real world where women standing up for their lawful rights are threatened and abused.
We call on them to have more responsibility for their language, and higher standards of behaviour.

WRN Wales members took to the streets of Carmarthen today to spread the word about the dangers of mixed-sex changing rooms in clothing stores, as part of our Red Flag Campaign.
Lots of interesting conversations, including:
🚩 The teenage girls who told us they liked it when it was just girls in shop changing rooms (more fun) and they didn’t like boys in their toilets at school either.
🚩 The dads of daughters who fear for their safety in mixed-sex spaces.
🚩 The women who won’t try clothes on in store because ‘I don’t want to be in a cubicle next to a man’.
Our message to retailers… customers don’t like mixed-sex changing rooms.
The safest changing room is a single-sex changing room.

Algerian boxer Imane Khelif, the male who punched women to victory at the Paris Olympics, returns to the French capital on 15th December to box against another woman, 21-year-old Clarida Sarabia.
Competing in a professional tournament means Khelif is exempt from the need to fight other men and may compete in women’s boxing.
This week a Conservative amendment to the Sporting Events Bill to ensure sportswomen’s rights to single-sex sport (changing rooms and toilets) at ALL international events held in this country was voted down by Labour MPs.
This time the boxer is fighting in Paris. Next time, it could be London because our lawmakers won’t protect the woman taking her life in her hands to fight against a man.

🚨 NEW: ‘Perhaps only at Oxford University could the unacceptable so often be considered acceptable.’
I worked with the Daily Mail’s Paul Bracchi on this profile of Oxford University lecturer Matt Rattley.
How did a gifted young academic - with a first-class degree, academic prizes and prize-winning essays become the lecturer who wears enormous prosthetic breasts to teach students at one of the world’s most prestigious universities?
A talented musician, too, who played bassoon with Somerville’s musicians, performing works by Beethoven, Poulenc and Bach.
And how did behaviour that has prompted repeated complaints come to be defended, by some, in the name of ‘freedom of expression’?
This is a story not just about one Oxford lecturer, but about an institution - and the questions it appears unwilling to confront.
And perhaps the most troubling question of all is why so many people inside Oxford appear afraid to speak out.

Yesterday I set out why it’s important to protect the integrity of women’s sport from grassroots to elite level.
I told Angela Carini’s story from the Paris Olympics who was cheated out of her rightful place. I never want that to happen again and certainly not on British soil.
But the Government chose to vote down our common-sense amendments. And the Lib Dems abstained like they always do. Utterly shameful.

The recyling of an old, old trope👇. That there is somehow a point of no return. After which a woman can't withdraw consent. Apparently for anything a bloke want's to do. Jesus I remember this idea being derided when I was a teenager (a long time ago). By other teenage boys.

You have made this up out of thin air @PeterTatchell. Why?
The [draft] law *does not* say “parents are entitled to have conversations”
Nor does it say *anything* about parents believing their child is "perverted, sick, abnormal, unnatural, depraved, broken and damaged”>

SANDIE PEGGIE IS APPEALING
The Darlington Nursing Union welcomes the news that its member Sandie Peggie is appealing her case against the Royal College of Nursing.
Throughout this ordeal, Sandie has demonstrated an enormous amount of courage and determination. It takes immense strength to stand up, challenge decisions and continue fighting for what you believe is right, particularly when the battle involves an organisation that should have been there to represent you.
No healthcare professional should ever be abandoned by the very union they have paid to protect them.
That is precisely why the Darlington Nursing Union was established: to ensure that healthcare professionals, who believe in biological reality, have a voice, receive proper representation and are never left feeling that they have to fight alone.
Trade union membership should mean having someone in your corner when it matters most. It should mean support, solidarity and representation – not having to question whether your union will stand beside you when things get difficult.
Sandie, as you continue your fight, please know that we stand with you. Your case and courage has shown why alternative options for union representation on these issues is urgently needed.

The dismissal today of Sandie Peggie’s case against the Royal College of Nursing should concern every healthcare professional who believes in biological reality.
Bethany Hutchison, President of the Darlington Nursing Union, said:
“Sandie’s story shows why healthcare professionals need a union that understands their convictions before a crisis begins.
“The court’s decision does not erase the fears and lawful beliefs of nurses who believe their union may not represent them robustly when disputes involve biological sex and gender identity.
“Sandie’s experience shows how vulnerable a nurse can become when trust in union representation breaks down.
“Gender-critical nurses deserve representation from a union whose starting point is clear: biological sex is real, freedom of belief matters, and lawful single-sex protections must be defended.
“The Darlington Nursing Union exists to provide that representation. We will stand firmly alongside our members, seek early and effective resolutions, and defend them robustly if a dispute escalates.
"Our members should never have to question whether their union shares a commitment to defending their lawful rights."

I think the #JohnLewisChristmas ad in 20 years time should revisit this family as granny’s will is being read out. And she’s left the lot to a donkey sanctuary.
Karma, you materialistic little sods.

So in summary: you want all women's single-sex spaces and services taken away to accommodate men who claim their 'gender identity feels different from what [their] body is.' You can't explain what a gender identity is, or explain what it means to 'feel' female, as opposed to being female, but you still think society should reconfigure itself around an unfalsifiable concept that cannot be objectively observed or proven, in spite of the well-evidenced risk to women and girls this poses.

🚨 NEW: “He can take his prosthetic breasts off at the end of the day. I cannot.”
A woman with a 32J bust emailed me after reading my reporting on Oxford lecturer Matt Rattley.
She described years of physical pain, unwanted attention and trying to conceal her breasts to be taken seriously - and why seeing a man display exaggerated fake ones feels like a mockery of those experiences.
She has no connection to Oxford. But her account explains why this story matters beyond its staff and students.
With her permission, I’ve published her words anonymously in [Un]Captured.

It also seems unlikely that a campaign group wanting to have a policy discussion without heat would have petitioned the United Nations to remove the standing of the UK Equality and Human Rights Commission.
A lot of us were very willing to have a debate without heat, @stonewalluk, and the reason that never happened wasn't because gender critical feminists didn't want one.
While we were trying to get you to listen to our concerns, your former CEO was telling a BBC boss that gay people not wanting to include the opposite sex in their dating pool was 'sexual racism'. While we were pointing out the homophobia inherent in gender ideology, Stonewall ambassador Alex Drummond (a bearded, heterosexual man who'd had no surgery and taken no cross-sex hormones but liked wearing skirts), was going into schools to talk to students about his 'lesbian' identity. @BluskyeAllison, who actually is a lesbian, was subject to unlawful discrimination at her place of work for tweeting: ‘Stonewall recently hired Morgan Page, a male bodied person who ran workshops with the sole aim of coaching heterosexual men who identify as lesbians on how they can coerce young lesbians into having sex with them. Page called [it] “overcoming the cotton ceiling”.’
When the UK Supreme Court upheld women's right to single sex spaces, you issued a statement expressing your unhappiness about the ruling. In her report on your unhappy influence at the University of Essex, you were found by barrister @akuareindorf to have misrepresented the law as it related to women's rights: '[Stonewall have] stated the law as Stonewall would prefer it to be, rather than the law as it is’.
In 2018, you publicly advised schools to shred a research pack saying there were risks to puberty blockers, in spite of the fact that you aren't a medical charity and that there was already credible evidence that puberty blockers are neither irreversible nor harm-free. Meanwhile you produced your own educational packs, recommending a children's book, for ages 5-9, in which the parent 'is neither a man, nor a woman – they’re non-binary.' In July 2022, Stonewall sent out a tweet that read ‘Research suggests that children as young as two recognise their trans identity'.
@thetimes has reported how you've sought to control the language used by NHS trusts and government on their social-media accounts. Organisations would get points from you for replacing commonly understood words with ideologically approved terms, eg, 'birthing parent' instead of 'mother'. thetimes.com/uk/society/arti…
In short, you took a maximalist position on gender identity ideology, which you attempted to enforce by diktat. You refused to acknowledge that you'd hitched your wagon to a cause that, unlike civil rights, gay rights or women's rights, sought to strip rights from others. You sought to curtail everyone's right to freedom of speech and belief by controlling what it was permissible to think and say, through the management and political class. You have argued against women's and girl's rights to their own spaces, their sports and to assemble without men. Your former CEO tried to shame gay women/men into dating the opposite sex if the latter claimed to be female/male.
Your mantra was 'no debate' because, like all totalitarians, you preferred slogans, bullying and infiltration of powerful institutions to talking to opponents. You appear to have had no concern for the lowly people your ideology was harming: gender confused kids, female rape victims, female prisoners, regular people hounded and investigated at their places of work for refusing to accept the new mandates on sex and gender issued from on high.
Your 'activism' has been a disaster for those trans-identified people who really do just want to get on with their lives in peace. You have besmirched the name of an organisation many of us were once proud to donate to, the charity that was partly responsible for securing the legal right of gay people to marry, which a lot of us thought would never happen in our lifetimes. The milquetoast words quoted below do not erase a decade of gender activism that has been disastrous not only for individuals but for society as a whole.
There was once a debate to be had, but until you acknowledge the direct harm you've caused, it is no more possible to debate you than to persuade a person in the throes of a drug-induced psychosis that they are not, in fact, the reincarnated Christ.
