Over the weekend I have been taking ever deeper dives into Sir David Bell's “Independent” Review into Antisemitism in Schools and Colleges.
There is zero doubt in my mind that this sloppy, misleading, and inaccurate report is contribution to a systemic, legal, and institutional dismantling of any support for Palestine, or any education and discussion about Palestinian history and existence within the UK education system.

I’ve just come off a Unison picket line for striking Camden traffic wardens. They were privatised by Camden Council years ago. I was on their picket lines in 2012. They work 42.5 hours a week on low pay. They are striking for an extra £2 an hour and to have their leave entitlement the same as the council workers, which means an extra 7 days. The company is NSL, whose top manager is on £619,000 - £330 an hour. Some wonderful supporter brought a solidarity chocolate cake to the picket line. The traffic warden service should be brought back in house. Solidarity. @unisontheunion

Those demos were located in Novi Pazar, a sight of heavy student blockade activity. The population of Novi Pazar is Bosniak and part of the Sanjak region with a Muslim population that spans Southern Serbia into Montenegro. Novi Pazar has always been pro-Palestine.
AJE ran a news report about the Serbian student demos about a year or so ago and I remember noticing at the time they were loads of Palestine flags visible even tho the protests themselves were primarily about domestic issues.
