For over 70 years, @Republicans have been scaring their poor constituents and convincing them that their tax dollars shouldn’t be used for their own good. People like Ricky have made their fortunes literally through Medicare fraud (your tax dollars) and now he enjoys the spoils of Senate salary, healthcare, and insider information. If you think an ex-CEO of a healthcare giant that stole billions from Medicare and was paid hundreds of millions of dollars to step down to only go into politics is looking out for your wellbeing… well then, I don’t know what to tell you. Here’s an excerpt from a 1952 Truman speech where he described Republicans like Ricky using the word “socialism” to scare you: “Socialism is a scare word they have hurled at every advance the people have made in the last 20 years. Socialism is what they called public power. Socialism is what they called social security. Socialism is what they called farm price supports. Socialism is what they called bank deposit insurance. Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations. Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.” ———— Same played out game. Same target audience they know will fall for it. New platform to scare that audience.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 Today I finally understood something about Donald Trump that I had been missing this entire time. And when it hit me — it hit me completely. Because look at who this man chose to surround himself with. Not billionaires. Not people born into power. Not people who had everything handed to them. Karoline Leavitt — 27 years old. Ice cream shop girl from New Hampshire. Trump looked at her and saw something the entire world missed. Made her the youngest Press Secretary in American history. Susie Wiles — a woman who has spent her whole life quietly strategizing from the background. No fame. No spotlight. Just pure brilliance. Trump looked at her and said — you will be my Chief of Staff. First female Chief of Staff in American history. JD Vance — a soldier. A boy from Appalachia who served his country in uniform before he ever served it in office. Trump looked at him and said — you will stand beside me. Pete Hegseth — a soldier who gave everything on the battlefield. Two Bronze Stars. Trump looked at him and said — you will lead our military. Marco Rubio — the son of a bartender and a hotel maid. Two immigrants who came to America with nothing. Trump looked at their son and made him the first Latino Secretary of State in American history. My wife heard all of this tonight and said — do you understand what Trump actually did. He did not build a powerful administration. He built an unbreakable one. Because every single person in it knows what it feels like to have nothing. And people who came from nothing never take anything for granted. Tonight say one prayer for this entire administration. And say a bigger one for the man who chose them. If Trump’s team just gave you goosebumps tonight — type “TRUMP DIDN’T JUST PICK A CABINET — HE PICKED WARRIORS” below. Then pass this to every American who needed to understand why this administration hits different from every single one that came before it." Via @JamesHu27192912 on X THE AMERICAN DREAM TEAM !! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸 Bravo 👏🏼 Beautiful work, the American dream, this is what I'm talking about. You become someone when you find the right person that sees the value in you. GOD BLESS TRUMP !!

This is important Nick Shirley explains how upset he is that no Democrats showed up to his testimony on fraud taking place He’s upset because he didn’t get into investigating to be on any particular political party side. He says fraud isn’t a one sided issue and he’s doing it for the American People “I think honestly what makes me the most mad is when I got into exposing this fraud, I never did it for a political party. I never did it to say that this fraud's happening here, this fraud's happening there. I was just going to show you guys where our tax dollars were going. And imagine this, your salary is paid for by taxpayers, but you don't even show up to do your job when it comes to our tax dollars. And it's kind of just sad and disheartening to see that, quite frankly, one side of the political spectrum did not even care to show up when it involved your tax dollars” Everyone should know who these Democrats are who didn’t show up: - Maggie Hassan (D-NH) - Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) - John Fetterman (D-PA) - Andy Kim (D-NJ) - Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) - Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) Also even more crazy Gary Peters (D-MI) was the ranking Democrat on the committee. He was the only Democrat who showed up. He gave an opening statement and then left before Nick Shirley gave his full testimony These people are despicable. They’re criminals

Reading all of the various tributes to Lindsey Graham over the past few days, I come away with a few thoughts. (1) I had always thought Graham was a formidable intra-party opponent, but even I had underestimated how politically powerful and influential Graham was-- that was a tribute to both his relentless work ethic, his personal charm and sense of humor, and just as important, his willingness to be a team player rather than make a futile stand "on principle" when the chips were down. In general elections, he raised money for, and campaigned for, candidates who had been quite critical of his personally. On the latter points, many of his biggest critics in the party could learn a lot. The fact that he could so impress a master politician like Trump with his political skills tells you everything you need to know there. (2) He had a largely coherent set of beliefs, particularly in the foreign policy sphere, and he advocated those relentlessly and unapologetically. HIs relatively modest net worth suggests that he wasn't financially corrupt. (3) And yet, on the most important issues, especially where he diverged from the New Right enabled by Trump, Graham was badly wrong, and Republicans shouldn't hesitate to say so even now-- perhaps especially now. He was a principal argument of a militarily hyper-aggressive U.S. policy that led to one strategic disaster after another, starting with the Iraq war and going onward from there. And he was arguably the GOP's most influentual lifelong champion of immigration amnesty, only dropping his co-sponsorship of the DREAM act during his final year in Congress after his position was overwhelmingly and convincingly opposed by so many GOP voters that Graham, facing a 2026 re-election bid, waved the White flag. Graham's political life shows both the strengths and limitations of political skill. He was clearly an enormously effective advocate for his positions. But in key areas, his positions were badly wrong, and dragged the party backward both substantively and politically. Politics, winning elections, and influencing the debate, are skills-- valuable skills-- and really they are the skills almost exclusively valued by Washington. And Graham was clearly a master of them. But while they are necessary, they are not sufficient to constitute a successful political life. To do that, those skills must be harnessed to wise policies. Many talented politicians win election after election and influence debates-- but they do it towards destructive policies. Sadly, this will be Lindsey Graham's principal legacy. While Graham's friends and loved ones-- and those he genuinely helped in politics, rightly mourn his loss-- at a policy level, a post-Graham GOP will be far stronger than it was when he was legislating. And conservatives shouldn't hesitate to say so after his death, as we most certainly did during his lifetime. Proper respect for the dead does not include the need to embrace that person's failed policy agenda.

It is OUR money!! Thank you Mr Secretary Concerning Social Security payments, my contributions were made for over 40 years on every salary I received. Those jobs may not have always been the work I wanted to be doing at the time, BUT I always had a job. The Social Security check is now (or soon will be) referred to as a "Federal Benefit Payment?" I'll be part of the one percent to forward this. I am forwarding it because it touches a nerve in me, and I hope it will in you. Please keep passing it on until everyone in our country has read it. The government is now referring to our Social Security checks as a "Federal Benefit Payment." This isn't a benefit. It is our money paid out of our earned income! Not only did we all contribute to Social Security but our employers did too. It totaled 15% of our income before taxes. Congress took our money and used it elsewhere. They forgot (oh yes, they knew) that it was OUR money they were taking. They didn't have a referendum to ask us if we wanted to lend the money to them. And they didn't pay interest on the debt they assumed. And recently they've told us that the money won't support us for very much longer. And now, to add insult to injury, they're calling it a "benefit", as if we never worked to earn every penny of it. Just because they borrowed the money doesn't mean that our investments were a charity! Let's take a stand. We have earned our right to Social Security and Medicare. Demand that our legislators bring some sense into our government. Find a way to keep Social Security and Medicare going for the sake of that 92% of our population who need it. Then call it what it is: Our Earned Retirement Income. Please, for the sake of our country, share this message. It's important!!!

Barbara Walters writes: Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country, but specific men who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War. The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot. The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat. In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School was a POW in Ho LoPrison, the "Hanoi Hilton." Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed, and dressed in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a visiting American "peace activist" the "lenient and humane treatment" he'd received. He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During the subsequent beating, he fell forward onto the camp commandant 's feet, which sent that officer berserk. In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision (which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant's frenzied application of a wooden baton. From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He spent 6 years in the "Hanoi Hilton". . . The first three of which his family only knew he was "missing in action." His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the cleaned-up, fed and clothed routine in preparation for a "peace delegation" visit. They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand. When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line, shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: "Aren't you sorry you bombed babies?" and "Are you grateful for the humane treatment from your benevolent captors?" Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of paper. She took them all without missing a beat. . . At the end of the line and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the POWs, she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little pieces of paper... Three men died from the subsequent beatings. Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is the only reason we know of her actions that day. I was a civilian economic development adviser in Vietnam, and was captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in 1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years. I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in Cambodia; and one year in a 'black box' in Hanoi. My North Vietnamese captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a nurse in a leprosarium in Banme Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried in the jungle near the Cambodian border. At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs.) We were Jane Fonda's "war criminals." When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp communist political officer if I would be willing to meet with her. I said yes, for I wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received. . . and how different it was from the treatment purported by the North Vietnamese, and parroted by her as "humane and lenient." Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with my arms outstretched with a large steel weight placed on my hands, and beaten with a bamboo cane. I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released. I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me. These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who should be honored as part of "100 Years of Great Women." Lest we forget. . . "100 Years of Great Women" should never include a traitor whose hands are covered with the blood of so many patriots. There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane's participation in blatant treason, is one of them. Please take the time to forward to as many people as you possibly can. It will eventually end up on her computer, and she needs to know that we will never forget. See less

I’m tired of the Senate’s evergreen excuse for inaction: “We don’t have 60 votes.” There are ways around the 60-vote cloture standard. It’s time to start using them. And stop disingenuously characterizing any refusal to do so as virtuous or conservative. Share if you agree.

Love these lines from the Post "While Trump was at the Massapequa wake, Biden mingled with boldface names at the ritzy Essex House hotel on Central Park South. Reveling in decadence while a cop family mourns and Americans pinch pennies sure exposes Biden’s true base: trendy liberals in the highest income brackets."
