Did your neurologist run pretests to determine that brain surgery is a safe viable option? If not, be sure to do that first. There's more about my surgery experience on my website: lauraberetsky.com/my-story/ I literally wrote a book about it, which is also available on my website.

Took me 30 years to have surgery. I was scared of memory loss and personality change. Post-surgery I had neither, but a subdural hematoma developed, requiring a second emergency surgery. All worth it in the end, as I'm seizure-free 8+ years now.
