If you havenβt taught in a classroom post-Covid, you donβt know what it is like to teach the modern student.
The students have changed.
Teaching has changed.
You have to be in the classroom daily to understand what I mean.

I donβt care if you are Republican or Democrat, if this doesnβt move you to vote against the current state of affairs nothing will.
Our grandchildren will watch this clip in history class, to better understand the political climate during Trumpism.

Doug Ford is robbing Ontario students of the education they deserve.
Overcrowded classrooms. Rising violence. Burnt-out teachers and education workers. Schools literally crumbling.
Our students, parents, and education workers deserve better.
Tomorrow, people across Ontario are rallying to fight for the future of public education. Itβs time to stand up for our schools, educators, and students. #onpoli #onted

At some point the media coverage needs to reflect how far out of touch this Minister and @fordnation education policy actually is. The original 4 boards under supervision were put there because of βfinancial mismanagementβ. Bill 101 moved budget responsibilities to the new CEOs! There is absolutely no current justification for supervision.
This attack on democracy continues to extend ministry centralization, while eliminating both transparency and accountability.
@PaulCalandra and his merry band of patronage appointees have had total control for over 16 months. At what point does this Minister realize that heβs not up to the task? Candidates and voters in these 8 jurisdictions deserve to have the elected trustees sworn in the same day as ALL newly elected trustees.
Bill 101 dramatically reduces trustee impact, the CEOβs option to veto trustee decisions and βnot confirmβ motions or decisions should be alarming.
Let the public select their representatives and then allow them carry out their duties.
NEW: The Ford government says trustees in supervised school boards βwill not be sworn inβ immediately after next week's election.
The province is asserting its power to call meetings in eight boards and trustees will only take their oath when the meeting is officially called.
No timeline for when that will happen.

Person's Day marks the 1929 ruling recognizing women as "persons" under Canadian law. ETFO continues this legacy by dedicating a percentage of its annual budget to programs that uplift, support, and protect members who identify as women.
Join us in honouring this history by continuing to uplift women's voices in our schools and communities, shaping who comes next. #PersonsDay

Dear Undecided Voters,
If there's 10 people on the bus, and 3 vote to drive off the cliff, 2 vote against it, and 5 people don't vote, you're all going off the cliff.
Your reminderthat not voting is literally the dumbest choice.
GO VOTE THIS NOVEMBER.
