Transparent Elections NC trains people to image poll tapes in their own counties. These records are numerous & lengthy, so having small groups arrange to do the work themselves helps alleviate the burden for under resourced election officials.

Unsealing the Halderman report would be responsible vulnerability disclosure.

Transparency is the currency of trust in elections & without it our country will continue fracturing down the line between truth & lies.
Facts change beliefs.
This bill, once passed, WILL end disinformation for good.

Certification isn't a rubber stamp, nor should it be. NC Election boards canvass... to ensure that election laws & procedures were followed. If those criteria aren't met, then they can vote to not certify. ex. 2-5 didn't certify in Wake 2020E because dead voters weren't removed.
NEW: A @propublica review of local officials who refused to certify 2022 election results found that most did not face formal consequences. Experts explain what that means for the future of American elections. propublica.org/article/elect… @DougBockClark
Why have board canvassers vote on whether to certify if they are punished for voting no?
Sounds like the outcome would be "Election Certification Theater" with meaningless rubber stamping & decreased confidence. @propublica @rickhasen @chriscooperwcue

@Tantspear Rev. Dr. Spearman did so much for voting rights in unique ways that were incredibly impactful for NC and Guilford County, in particular.
That 3rd flatiron there - it looks small, but it's 7200 ft. It's where I saw my life flash before me on July 4, 2002.
We were going to summit by dark, watch fireworks & rappel down backside. I was the least experienced climber in the 4 person group.

Finally, I got to the ledge in time to watch the last of the fireworks. Another climber lent me their headlamp and the rest is a blur. I think we ended up rappelling down sometime after midnight.
Here is a link of some other people (not us) climbing this route, so you can see how easy it is during the day.
There are some views looking straight down to give you an idea of the heights part & rappel off the backside.
