the whole point of devolution is to shift blame. they will be very selective to what areas get government funds and it will be guided politically not actual requirement. they will also still overturn planning objections for their mates solar panels and windmills and battery stores.

Surprise, surprise! BBC busted for left-wing bias AGAIN! 🤦🏻♀️
BBC Bitesize has now removed teaching materials accused of pushing left wing views on immigration and Net Zero to schoolchildren.
Funny how quickly things get taken down once the public starts asking questions!
Children deserve education.. NOT political indoctrination.

That looks to be a low estimate, the ASI talks about double that
They say the unfunded liability is £4.1 Trillion.

🚨 NEW: Respect Orders are now live across England and Wales
People who cause harassment, alarm or distress to others can receive bans from town centres, anger management courses or unlimited fines
Anyone who breaches an Order can be arrested and jailed for up to 2 years
So our Andy wants devolution down to local areas and also upward delegation to the EU.
If he does all that he will have no responsibility so then what would be the point of him?
£1.396 TRILLION. Let’s let that sink in.
That’s the UK Government’s net public sector pension liability in its 2024–25 accounts.
During the same year, public sector employees contributed £19.5 billion towards their pensions.
These are long-term pension commitments, not an immediate bill, and the figure is after scheme assets are deducted.
But with taxpayers funding public services and the Government facing enormous financial pressures, shouldn’t we be having a much more open conversation about the long-term affordability of these commitments?
Who is explaining the numbers to the taxpayer?
Burnham definitely wants to go back into that crumbling mess that is the EU. Whether we want to or not.

@AngelaRayner, did you allow Islamist extremists to influence the drafting of the “anti-Muslim hostility” definition?
It’s a simple yes-or-no question.
If not, why did your department claim that it had deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation, only to say — after the Free Speech Union threatened legal action — that the responses were still held on its data system?
And why does your department still refuse to disclose who responded to the consultation?
While we’re at it: if, as your Permanent Secretary confirmed in a letter to @NJ_Timothy, ministers had no involvement in this decision, who is running your department?
The public deserves to know the truth.

🚨NEW: The Royal College has warned Labour’s NHS reforms ‘will fail without more money for GPs’
A recent study shows GPs have delivered 91 million more appointments in a decade, yet the number of fully qualified GPs has risen by just 36
I just discovered that it is £45 for a driving lesson now.
Something I haven’t thought about for years and it does make sense that it is so much as you are paying someone to teach you in their vehicle.
I remember learning to drive and it was £8 a lesson.
I feel old!!!

So much for the party of tolerance! 🤦🏻♀️
The Greens have been branded RACIST by Britain’s largest Jewish community organisation.
Imagine being so obsessed with foreign politics and your own skewed ideology that you end up alienating your own Jewish members.
Inclusion for everyone… unless you celebrate Yom Kippur, apparently. 🙄
💙 Remembering Kenneth Robert Howorth GM
On 26 October 1981, Kenneth Howorth, a 49-year-old Metropolitan Police explosives officer, lost his life trying to make Oxford Street safe.
After warnings of bombs planted in central London, Kenneth entered a Wimpy restaurant to deal with an explosive device. It detonated as he attempted to defuse it.
He was killed doing a job that demanded extraordinary courage, putting himself in danger to protect others.
He was posthumously awarded the George Medal for gallantry.
Today, 45 years later, we remember Kenneth. His courage, his service and the family who lost him.
His duty is done. His sacrifice must never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Kenneth. 💙

Maybe we would have found out about Nick Brown's suspension on full pay for a year or two?
