Now that Frank Thomas is saying what @shegone03 has been saying for so long, do you think @Teacherman1986 will come back with snarky comments? Hitters are so bad right now that they don't even show the batting average as a stat. As a 40 year baseball fan, the amount of terrible hitters today is embarrassing. I was watching the Dodgers game yesterday and Conforto was at the plate. He started the game hitting .176! That's not a typo! This dude is drawing a major league baseball paycheck hitting 24 points below Mendoza. That's pathetic! Foolish parents are paying unqualified teachers countless thousands of dollars in an effort to turn their kids into awful hitters. And who suffers the most? The fans! We have to sit around and watch 1 2 3 inning after 1 2 3 inning, waiting for some junk middle relief one inning guy to walk two with eight pitches and then give up a long drive to deep left to some guy batting .222 who is 0 for 3 on the day. That's one heck of a boring game! Play baseball, not stats. Hit the ball.

If you remember the unconscionable way Maori Davenport was treated, the Alabama HS Athletic Association is at it again…this time with a respected baseball coach. Hey AHSAA, show some common sense. Moseley sacrificed to help the USA win a gold medal. al.com/highschoolsports/2023…
Why is @tom_hart not calling the College World Series @espn ? Not the same without him. @KP_Omaha @ChrisBurke02 and Tom are the best. Why break up the trio?

The entire game needs to listen to this. Young players. Veterans. Those wanting to work in the game. The fans aren’t happy at all, and last night they let everyone know.

Freddie Freeman - Training accuracy
3 minutes worth of his BP, trying to do this over and over. Inside and through every swing with good posture over the plate

If a coach tells you to get into your legs, this is what it looks like. Notice the piping on back thigh. It angles back.

MJ played JV as soph. Pip started college as manager, Rodman didn’t play HS basketball. Kerr had no offers until after his senior year.
Meanwhile we have people trying to commit as 8th graders, worrying about exposure and constantly comparing young age groups.
Just get better.
