We've accidentally designed companies to behave like sociopaths.
A business can look profitable on paper while pushing its real costs onto customers, employees, communities, and society.
But making money and creating value aren't the same thing.
When companies profit by exploiting the people they're supposed to serve, they may succeed financially in the short term while destroying value in the long run.
We need to rethink what profitability really means and build companies that create value rather than simply extract it.

“A single cluster currently serves 155 trillion tokens/day, generating $38 in revenue per GPU-hour (at off-peak pricing).”
Huge flex from DeepSeek. Not only did they open-source their inference engine, but they also open-sourced their revenue numbers.
They didn't disclose which GPUs they're using here, but DeepInfer supports both NVIDIA Blackwell and Huawei Ascend.
Even assuming they're renting B300s at $7 per GPU-hour, that's ~82% gross margin.

Is there an AI bubble? That’s not the right question. AI isn't a soap bubble. It's a beer bubble. 🫧
There's foam, but there's real beer underneath. The real question is how much is froth and how much is substance. 🍺
And the faster you pour, the more froth you get. Trillions a year in a race is pouring fast enough to spill over the cup. We need to slow the pour so we can realize the actual value from the technology.

Day 4 of the video challenge.
This time I went for a semi-public space; an elevator.
Only me, but this increases the nerves for sure. 🫣
Anyway, I am embracing it to challenge myself to get better and more comfortable speaking to the camera.

The US grid plans to add 86 gigawatts this year. Here's where it's coming from:
- Solar: 43.4 GW
- Batteries: 24.3 GW
- Wind: 11.8 GW
- Gas: 6.3 GW
- New nuclear: 0 GW
The AI labs are planning for hundreds of gigawatts. Solar is the one source already produced at that scale, and most of it is made in China.
"Scaling firm power that isn't gas is much more complicated. Uprates and restarts can squeeze a little more from the existing nuclear fleet, but the real upside is new reactors."

30 minutes on why the best engineers stopped writing code line by line and started orchestrating agents instead.
Most people think building an agent requires an engineering degree.
It doesn't.
It requires one guide and one afternoon.

🚨BREAKING: Claude is officially a NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT and is BLACKLISTED from the ENTIRE defense supply chain
>anthropic: no autonomous weapons, no mass surveillance, no exceptions
>pentagon blacklists claude as an active national security threat
>anthropic sues
Federal court ruled 2–1 AGAINST Anthropic:
"As Anthropic admits, the company encodes restrictions into Claude that prevent the model from performing tasks that Anthropic wishes to prevent."
"On more than one occasion, these restrictions have stopped Claude from performing tasks requested by government users":
>refused to perform "tasks that were appropriate in a national security context"
>refused CDC queries on infectious disease prevention research
>anthropic questioned claude's use in the military operations
"Anthropic's Chief Science Officer explained how the company 'seek[s] to embed safety considerations directly into the model itself.'"
"[Anthropic's] CEO explained how such training gives the model an 'identity, character, values, and personality' of its own, tethered to a 'constitution' developed to impose 'high-level principles and values' on Claude itself."
"We have no reason to doubt that Anthropic manipulates Claude's function with noble intentions... BUT the statutory definition of a 'supply chain risk' turns on what Anthropic does, not why Anthropic does it."
"In our Republic, it is the President and the Secretary of War who must determine how best to balance the competing risks. In doing so here, the Secretary DID NOT transgress any limits on his authority."
ITS OVER.

Today we announce our new unified multi-agent framework that provides creators with a system for generating temporally consistent, long-form video narratives while mitigating visual drift and pipeline error propagation. Learn more: goo.gle/4yVih5m

ALT AI video co-director multi-agent pipeline. Top: The Orchestrator Agent utilizes MAB to navigate a factored creative action space. Bottom: The Pre-Production Agent synthesizes a creative brief, storyline, and visual assets to establish a consistent storyboard, which the Production Agent translates into synchronized keyframes, video clips, and audio. An MLLM Judge evaluates the final video to generate a factored reward signal which is propagated back to the MAB to iteratively refine the creative configuration over optimization loops.

Let’s stop asking, “who wins the #AI race?” And start asking “what the human race wins from AI?”💡
Zero-sum arms-race thinking rewards shortcuts, secrecy, and concentrated power. The upside is not who hoards the most compute or builds the best closed models. It is who diffuses useful AI farthest, fastest, while keeping shared risks under control. 🚨
Let’s treat AI like electricity and clean air: shared infrastructure and a global public good, not a private arsenal. Keep racing each other as if domination is the prize and by 2027 we will regret not cooperating on the threats that do not care who “won.”🛑
How do we move from zero-sum competition to shared abundance?
The US-China AI dialogues this week could be the place to start. 🇺🇸🇨🇳
