#Bitcoin was launched right after the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression. Satoshi Nakamoto even embedded a message about that crisis in Bitcoin’s Genesis Block. And now people are saying Bitcoin wasn’t made for a world of higher yields, war, conflict, and uncertainty? Brother in coin... it was created PRECISELY for this. Too much macro will rot your brain.

The fact people have been unable to understand the difference between Bitcoin consensus and node mempool policy after a year of people trying to clarify it explains how we got here.

it's easy to tell now who has studied #Bitcoin and done the work - and who is just a charlatan. did ppl forget that Bitcoin is for your enemies as well? or dont they just say that, but not actually understand what that means...
Bitcoin's neutrality is the whole product. It confirms valid transactions without asking who you are or whether the rest of us approve of what you're doing with it. So yes, it works for people you can't stand. That's THE POINT. A system that can exclude your enemy today can exclude you tomorrow as well. So arguing that certain valid transactions shouldn't make it into blocks turns neutral money into governed money. And we already have governed money, dumbasses 😂

Re: BIP-110... Outlawing currently valid transactions via consensus because a minority finds them distasteful sets a precedent worse than the spam. Once normalized, that tool will be used again. And no one knows what the next moral panic or purity test will be.

The sooner one accepts that the failure of BIP110 demonstrates Bitcoin works as designed, the sooner one will understand Bitcoin.

We could do better with education on how Bitcoin works. Fewer podcasts and more explainer videos.

i think people forget, or havent studied enough, that Bitcoin is acting just as it was elegantly designed. if you have fallen for the bip110 pys-op, or are indifferent on it, please take a step back to study up. Realize that attacks far stronger than this are coming #Bitcoin

"When I designed Bitcoin, I designed it in such a way as to make future modifications to the consensus rules difficult without near unanimous agreement."

I did not always believe in the four year cycle for Bitcoin. I used to think it was silly, and that the market had to be more complicated than that. But then the market proved me wrong. So I admitted I was wrong, learned from my mistakes, and became a better investor. This cycle, a lot of new Bitcoiners faded the four year cycle and relentlessly mocked anyone calling for the bear market. For many of them, instead of recognizing they were wrong, they continue to laugh at anyone willing to discuss the simplicity of the four year cycle. They are likely doomed to repeat the same mistakes in the future, since their ego gets in the way of them being able to admit that they were wrong.

99% sure BIP 110/“Knots vs Core” has been a masterfully orchestrated and effective psyop. They essentially derailed nearly all productive discourse for almost two years, dramatically fractured the community, burned out many developers, and stalled future positive improvements indefinitely (if not forever). All while realistically meaning nothing, BIP 110 having no chance of activation, and all actual attempts to filter any spam failed completely and were always a non-starter. You’re not convincing anybody here to change their mind, and every engagement you give them only further boosts their reach and effectiveness. There’s a tactical reason I haven’t engaged in that conversation for over a year — there’s no point, and my voice wasn’t making a difference.

Bunch of people suffering from main character syndrome treating Bitcoin as a religion think they can decide for others what's pure. Remember these guys want to play censor and enforce their dogma on the chain. Thankfully, encryption was built to avoid exactly that kind of control on the internet.

The only BIP110 got attention is because they are telling an emotional story that is easy to understand but hard to verify + moral panic.
