I made peace a long time ago with one uncomfortable, brutal possibility: Bitcoin could cost me nearly everything. A massive percentage of what I’ve spent years building is tied to this conviction. I’m all in. If the thesis breaks, the financial damage could be savage. And I accept that. Because I would rather absorb a devastating loss pursuing what I genuinely believe is a rare, once-in-a-generation asymmetric opportunity than spend decades watching it succeed while knowing I stayed safely on the sidelines. I accumulated through the heavy, miserable 2019 market. I kept buying through the violent wreckage and absolute carnage of 2022. And I’m still relentlessly adding today. From the outside, that probably looks irrational, irresponsible, maybe completely reckless. I have no idea how many wildly overexposed, stubbornly committed, borderline-insane Bitcoin holders are riding this gigantic monetary experiment beside me. But if you’re one of them, you’re an absolute legend in my eyess.

Fuck the people telling you not to panic. The exploit is out in the wild, public attention is on it, and everybody has access to frontier LLMs. I imagine there are dozens of hacking teams now researching how to exploit this. You are in a race against time.

‘And who is that, mother?’ ‘That's your great-great-grandfather, son. He bought whole #Bitcoin for our family in the mid twenties of the 21st century.’ ‘Whole Bitcoin? My friends always talk about a few satoshi. How much is a whole Bitcoin?’ ‘One hundred million, son, one hundred million.’

The gap between natural deflation (thanks to technology) and forced inflation (from central banks) is the greatest wealth transfer in history. It's a hidden tax on future generations, enriching asset holders at the expense of everyone else. #Bitcoin fixes this.

I’ve become convinced that feeling consistently neutral-to-bearish on bitcoin price action while owning a ton of bitcoin and continuing to buy more is actually the most zen approach to bitcoining.

They call it “quantitative easing.” We call it theft.

it’s time. the independent and free currency is here.
I like the idea of an independent currency, but until I can use Bitcoin to put gas in my car and food on my table, I’m out.

The biggest downside of becoming a Bitcoiner is to see how asleep everyone around you is.

The average person works about 90,000 hours in their lifetime, yet most won’t spend even one hour learning what the currency they work so hard for actually is. If they did, we’d have a revolution by the end of the day. Education is key.

.@adam3us appealing to Bitcoin’s higher calling as an instrument benefiting humanity; raising humanity out of the fiat money ghetto. To this end, he contextualizes the current spam debate and positions Core as tinkering vandals that have lost the plot.
Bitcoin is owned by humanity, the protocol developers are stewards, and need consensus from users to change it materially. bitcoin is about money, spam has no place in the timechain. what defaults the bitcoin core project puts in the reference client matter in this.

My brother is the smartest person I know. Harvard undergrad. Stanford MBA. Top hedge funds: Goldman, Millennium, Perry Capital. Never drank, never smoked. Ethically untouchable. A real-life monk genius with laser focus. I looked up to him my whole life. Still do. So when he tells me Bitcoin is worthless… it shakes me. He says: ‘There’s nothing unique about it. It’s random code. A joke. It should track inflation. Nothing more.’ (Screenshot below is from him.) And yet… I see something he doesn’t. I feel something he won’t. I’ve watched broken people find purpose. Lonely people find community. Lost people find meaning. We call it Bitcoin. He calls it delusion. And maybe he’s right. Maybe I’m crazy. But if this is madness… …I don’t want to be sane.” (📸: real convo with my brother below.) #bitcoin #savemybro
