they say this shit bc it sounds impressive but itโ€™s just lie-by-omission: - the crash wasnโ€™t directly into a wall/pole/tree/etc, rather it spun out & slid into a flexible guardrail - 280mph was the target speed, not speed upon impact - it was on is a closed & controlled raceway
JUST IN: Chinese man crashes car at 280 mph, walks away completely unharmed.

Friendly reminder that part of the reason Valve has AI disclosures by default is because Gabe also believes that AI is the future. Though unlike Tim Sweeney, he trusts consumers and devs alike to make the call for themselves on whether it's for them.
No. Full disclosure for gen Ai in games, if this is what customers want. You do not get to keep secrets if you are begging us to give you money. I am actually curious why you all insist on hiding it even.

I do really love freedom, but slightly disagree here: annual vehicle safety inspections should be federally required for anyone who - has points on their license for DUI or reckless driving - has been at-fault for >2 accidents within a year in the past 5 years โ€ฆ
If you really love freedom, you want to own in a state that doesnโ€™t require vehicle inspections or emissions. Per usual, Florida leads the way.

- has been stopped multiple times within a year for dead headlight or brake light bulbs (proves that you canโ€™t be trusted with freedom & must be commanded) - has been ticketed within the past 8 years for cellphone use while driving (proves you dont even pay attention to your car)

Beyond that? Yeah fuck it, as long as the car meets specs rolling off the factory floor, and the owner is responsible, no regular inspections needed - hence why they should only be mandatory for people who have a record of not inspecting/fixing it themselves at their own volition

Controversially I disagree with no front plate Many equip their cars with front AND rear cameras, because of hit-&-runners. With front plates being required, someone canโ€™t rear-end you & run without their plate being caught by a rear camera, should you install one. THAT SAIDโ€ฆ
One the quickest ways to determine if you live in a free state is the front plate check.

I firmly believe that people with sports cars & tuner cars should be able to apply for an exemption. If you need to ditch the plate for more intercooler/radiator surface area, you should be able to be exempt, as long as you have no prior hit-and-run charges Limits of course:

Trucks and SUVs do not apply (their front ends are big enough to fit a front plate AND intercooler), crossovers only do not apply if they weigh >3800lbs and/or have more than 5 seats, any vehicle equipped with a CVT also does not apply: traditional fixed-ratio auto or manual only

Then do your job as a parent and use parental controls Stop advocating for awful mass surveillance laws because you're incapable of raising your children properly
Replying to @BRICSinfo
I donโ€™t get why this is not a worldwide law we really need to protect our children thereโ€™s no reason why they should be on social media

it's a bell curve actually, the most obnoxiously anti-AI people are unimaginative, & so are the most obnoxiously pro-AI people I use AI for stuff like transcribing 17k audio files, I see its genuine benefit to the world. I however think specifically OpenAI needs to be crushed
The most unimaginative people are anti AI

people who think it makes sense to use chatgpt's awful image generation to make the graphic they put straight on their truck unedited, and people who insist you draw it yourself or spend $5000 for someone to do it for you, are both unimaginative & average people.

The reason we don't care is because we became adults during a time when the global economy already fucked us over. You can't threaten to take away something we never had.

you think we donโ€™t realize it? WE WANT IT TO. Pop the fucking bubble. We need to get it over with and stop propping up the economy with fake retard money exclusively made for boomers, as a start - then move on to abolishing ponzi schemes like social security.

God forbid we own our own compute. Fuck this guy.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman thinks it's "terrible" for people to have RAM in their computers rather than in a data center, as the scarcity of memory caused by the AI boom continues to drive up costs. bit.ly/47LJ09d
