I’m sorry, but this isn’t uplifting… this story is an example of organizational (and probably medical) malpractice. Jalen Hurts is lucky to be alive.
I've been secluded in a cabin in Ontario and only just learned of the mass shooting in my hometown of Erie. I am devastated for that family and everyone who knew them. It's especially hard to hear of these horrors now that I'm a mother. These acts of violence haunt me. – at Williamsville, NY

RUSSIA PLAGUE STORY — A BRIEF UPDATE
The most important new development is not medical.
It is informational.
The Kremlin has now explicitly told the public and media to rely on Rospotrebnadzor’s official account, while additional Russian reporting about the incident has reportedly disappeared.
That strengthens the evidence that this story is now being managed more directly from the center. 🧵

“This follows the White House’s position preventing CNN from fulfilling its assigned pool duties. There will be no replacement pool put in place.” Via @brianstelter

Oh hi,
A news station is legally obligated to provide some form of a weather update during an active tornado warning in their viewing area.
McKean and Potter County are in our viewing area.
The score is still 0-0, you haven't missed anything.
We have to reevaluate our use of the term "influencer." Just because someone uses social media does not mean they have influence over anything or anyone. Sometimes it's just someone with a phone...

I'm sorry that this will piss off half the parents reading this:
Your 11 year old probably doesn’t need a $8,000-a-year travel team.
Meanwhile, mom and dad haven’t had a weekend alone in 8 months because every Friday afternoon the SUV is packed for another tournament 4 hours away.
They need to just play sports (if they want).
There’s a difference.
$3,000 team fee.
$2,500 hotels.
$1,500 eating out.
$500 uniforms.
$500 entrance fees
Every weekend gone, and somehow we convince ourselves this makes us better parents.
Then we wonder why marriages struggle. Put the kid in rec ball and let them play with their buddies.
Take your wife to dinner. Take a family vacation that doesn’t involve a Marriott next to a sports complex.
If your kid is truly THAT good, you’ll eventually know.
But I think a lot of parents are sacrificing their marriage, money and entire family calendar chasing a scholarship that probably isn’t coming.
I agree that most kids need sports.
I’m just not convinced they need travel sports.
That's me - the one who forgot their $5 hat for picture day on a team that cost $20 for the season.
