From day one, producer Ethan Lewis has been one of THE EYES OF GHANA’s strongest champions, playing an instrumental role in bringing Barack and Michelle Obama on board to help share this extraordinary story with the world. For a chapter of history that remains largely untold to Western audiences, we knew this film deserved to be seen far and wide. We couldn’t be more grateful to Ethan and the entire @hgmedia team for helping make that possible. Most recently, Ethan represented the film at the Oak Park Black Film Festival in Sacramento, bringing Chris Hesse’s story to policymakers and film-loving audiences alike at the California State Capitol. And to top it all off, THE EYES OF GHANA was honored with Best Documentary at the festival! Thank you, Ethan, for believing in this story from the very beginning and helping us bring it to the world. 🇬🇭

Seeing "Producer: IShowSpeed" and "Producer: Barack & Michelle Obama" on the same movie poster is completely wild But The Eyes of Ghana isn't a streaming joke. It's an Oscar-caliber documentary about Dr. Chris Hesse hiding 1,000 lost films of Kwame Nkrumah from military coup soldiers in 1966. Speed went from backflipping in streams to preserving anti-colonial African history but I still feel only Africans can tell their true stories.
