This is bigger than content creation. Preserving African history and telling our own stories to the world is powerful.

Seeing "Producer: IShowSpeed" and "Producer: Barack & Michelle Obama" on the same movie poster is completely wild
But The Eyes of Ghana isn't a streaming joke. It's an Oscar-caliber documentary about Dr. Chris Hesse hiding 1,000 lost films of Kwame Nkrumah from military coup soldiers in 1966.
Speed went from backflipping in streams to preserving anti-colonial African history but I still feel only Africans can tell their true stories.

Big ups to Chris Hesse who has protected Ghana’s history on over 7000 hours of film footage. I can’t wait to see footage of mid 1970s to 80s Ghana.
Chale 🇬🇭 In the glow of yesterday’s exciting trailer release, we want to spotlight some of the remarkable Ghanaian and diaspora filmmakers and crew whose voices, perspectives, and creative contributions helped shape THE EYES OF GHANA. Deeply grateful for the care, talent, and dedication each brought to telling this story. There is no film without them and so many others.

Hasan Piker reacted to @ishowspeedsui's new movie trailer that Speed produced with Barack and Michelle Obama. Hasan is so proud of him:
"I'm just very proud of what he's been able to accomplish and who he has become. It's huge. This is massive. Look, I'm very proud of anyone and everyone that is in this hellish, nightmarish sphere of influence and content that will rise above.
Instead of constantly softserving the hackiest, lowest common denominator, reactionary bullshit, someone who can see the humanity in others, someone who will try to highlight the most exciting and diverse modes of existence you see in every part of the universe.
iShowSpeed has been able to do that. I always give him props for this reason. He's very empathetic. He's very interested in showing the world in a positive light. His Africa streams were phenomenal. Everything that he does I pay attention and will always glaze and hype up."
