a thanksgiving reminder that food banks are not the policy solution to food insecurity, the same way shelters are not the policy solution to homelessness. we need to meaningfully address the pathologies of poverty.
Can we stop with all the Mr & Mrs wedding decorations? I’m about to take a sharpie to make Mrs & Mrs #DIYproject

Today, the Supreme Court not only reversed nearly 50 years of precedent, it relegated the most intensely personal decision someone can make to the whims of politicians and ideologues—attacking the essential freedoms of millions of Americans.
In absolute shock and enraged that Roe v. Wade was overturned. What year are we living in?! A massive step back for women’s rights. #AbortionRightsAreHumanRights #RoeVsWade

Gonna go out on a limb and say that if exposure to trauma is a condition of your employment, access to psychology & counselling services should not be a benefit (read: 'perk') you or your union have to bargain for

Not being able to share serious concerns with a leader due to reporting structures and hierarchies is one of the oddest practices I have encountered in institutions. It means the most senior leaders are disconnected from what happens on the ground and limits innovative change.

Did the Ford gov't direct drafters of the new science curriculum to remove references to ‘climate change action'?
Why don't the words ‘climate change’ appear until kids hit grade 5?
Today I tried to get answers and it caused a bit of stir on the gov't benches: #onted #onpoli

Happy International Women’s Day!! **Women attaining high level leadership is still inequitable! We need sponsors - not mentors. Promotable tasks - not domestic office work, meaningful interactions with senior leaders & those (mostly men) in power to actively advocate for us!
