Box3D now has dynamic character mover support. This is useful for games with lots of physics interactions. youtube.com/watch?v=uavY-_c2…

A playable showcase built with @DetisEngine is now live! Download it free on Itch io (link in replies). The Orb is a brief, atmospheric walk-sim created to demonstrate the engine runtime in action, not a game. There’s a narrative presence and the world reacts to you, but no formal objectives, so just explore and immerse yourself in its world. The engine toolset itself drops very soon.
A look at the environment featured in The Orb, the upcoming Detis game engine demo. This build runs on Detis Beta 4, which doubles down on fine details compared to previous engine versions and likely the last closed beta pass before things open up to early adopters.

In Baldur's Gate 3 you can be trans and queer and that game sold over 20 mil copies. The chuds saying the reason Bioware didn't sell well with their recent games was because of "activism" are absolutele delusional troglodytes the need to go outside.

100% agree
Valve needs to bring back some sort of greenlight feature. Community voting so we can just vote out the slop. There will be side effects, but this is unsustainable.

The audacity to feed Machinarium assets to AI, make AI slop animations, and call it a love letter… Love letters are supposed to be handwritten. This looks disgusting and has nothing to do with us or our craft.

Don't let billionaires convince you slop is the future. They're used to managing & directing, not making things themselves. Of course they can't see the difference. They don't understand your love for the craft. Keep making personal, beautiful games. You've got my support 💖

Me: "If you want to be better at programming stop focusing on efficiency and focus more on your personal process." Comments: "Wrong! Efficiency is what our corporate overlords demand of us. They define what a 'Good Programmer' is!" Me: Exactly, don't be like this guy.

Indeed, utterly dysfunctional. It's ridiculous how much hype this nothing-burger suite is getting. What's this proving exactly? That you can slop a billion LOC of unusable apps? ok? who was contesting that even?
I just tried the photoshop clone, and it's completely unusable. The thing people don't understand about software development is the bottle neck wasn't ever the implementation, but rather the care and consideration behind every choice.
