Had a mastectomy/reconstruction surgery on Wednesday. I was supposed to stay overnight, but 90 minutes after surgery I opened my eyes and immediately started asking questions about my short term disability paperwork, so I got to go home the same afternoon. Generally feeling good!

I have a vivid memory that he joked about changing the lyrics to 'that's when I reached for my chihuahua/that's when he barked and ran away' and I was so mad because that's clearly better than what he wound up with.
