The joys of listening to @Feargal_Sharkey at @YorkFestofIdeas call everyone out, including environmental charities, about the systemic failures in water regulations.
Hearing his voice boom around the room - *chef’s kiss*
We’ve been to the rugby at the LNER and it was brilliant. Fantastic atmosphere but there’s barely no indication that there’s World Cup matches with international teams. Even flags from different countries would be something. Soulless. People have travelled free
People have travelled great distances to support their teams and women’s rugby in general. A wasted opportunity to promote York.

One week later … how many gallons of water per hour have been pouring out?
Local nature area flooded. Insects having their habitat reduced day by day. Water gushing into the #riverfoss #bigriverwatch @YorkshireWater
Not good enough @yorkshirewater

This has been going on over 10 days

I’m aghast at how much water has been leaking continually . Gushing into river (let’s hope it’s clean water), flooding a nature area and making it dodgy for pedestrians. I can’t be the only person who’s been reporting this @YorkshireWater #york
Meanwhile, Bills ⬆️
.@CityofYork #YorkMix have just published that you are quitting using X.
Will you be on BlueSky?
What other means do people have to contact you across social media. Facebook is horrible and works very differently to here.
Many thanks

This is far from the extent of the inland flooding #NewEarswick
This land is home to a wide diversity of plants and insects.
Big River Watch starts tomorrow . Sad that this will be my first survey.

Housing developers are failing to deliver the bat boxes , bird boxes , Hedgehog highways , bug bricks , trees and wildflower meadows they promised . And cash-strapped local authorities don't have the time or resources to check up on what has happened .

We’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with @shrimperstrust, as we will stand with others in the future

Today is a celebration, but it's important to remember those who helped us in our time of need 💙❤️
ALT A message outside the away end that reads: "To the staff and supporters of York City, you stood by us in our hour of need and for that, we will be eternally grateful. Thank you from the staff, players, supporters and partners of Southend United."

Even by the UK's low standards, the hypocrisy of our right-wing newspapers blaming social media for racist violence is off the scale

Interestingly confused, cynical, badly constructed statement.
