The second stage of LPGA Q-School is this week. The original October dates were pushed back due to weather – after players had already gathered in Venice, Florida. Players lost thousands due to the move.
Mother Nature is always a factor, but could this have been prevented?
The host course underwent major reconstruction months before the tournament, but, even with hurricane season approaching, officials didn't feel the need to have a contingency plan.
When everything fell apart at Plantation at the 11th hour, there was no attempt to find another course.
They'll played preferred lies this week for all four rounds.
