iPhone Duo is here! Excited to have worked on the design of our open/close transition. It’s designed to make the two displays feel like one seamless experience by perceptually bending the focal plane, not the content, so that it feels like opening a window onto a singular view.

Tell your agents: CGRect.width != CGRect.size.width The former will first standardize your rectangle to remove negative widths and heights. If you rely on widths/heights going negative in your layout code to figure out whether there’s enough space, use size.width.

Branch Buddy is out in public beta! A macOS menu bar utility for people who move between projects all day. Keep projects in the menu bar, see git status at a glance, switch worktrees, open or create PRs, and open that workspace in Xcode, VS Code, Terminal, or your editor of choice with one click. Link in reply.
Screenshot of Branch Buddy, a macOS menu bar utility, showing a dropdown list of Git repositories and their status. The menu lists four projects—“PSPDFKit,” “Branch Buddy: main ✓,” “Tasting-Notes: item-input-screen ✓ · ↑1,” and “MeterMate: main (24 files)”—each with colored status dots and ahead/file counts. The selected “Branch Buddy: main ✓” repo opens a side panel on the left with one-click actions for Xcode, Cursor, Warp, and “Create PR,” plus a note at the bottom that says “No uncommitted changes.”

Spent too much time and money filing taxes this year? Blame @Intuit & the former regulators its hired to defend its “free” tax filing scams. On #TaxDay, I'm demanding answers about this revolving door. I also have a proposal to make tax filing easy & free. theverge.com/2022/4/18/23027…

I said NASCAR drivers should do more hot girl shit. I was asked to elaborate. I made a Google Slides presentation: docs.google.com/presentation…
A gray slide is titled "how to do hot girl shit as a race car driver" by Alanis King.

ALT A gray slide is titled "how to do hot girl shit as a race car driver" by Alanis King.

A slide says "what is hot girl shit?" The explanation is: Hot girl shit, in its most basic form, means doing cool and fashionable stuff online (and in person). You just act like a hot person. Do photoshoots, post thirst traps, engage with pop culture. Easy.
