Evangelicals: We are a Christian nation and need a Christian government!
America: Okay support programs that feed the hungry like Jesus said.
Evangelicals: It's not the government's job to be Christian.

An even better plan for turning America around is voting for Democrats across the board.
President Trump can turn his ratings and save his legacy if he takes my America-first advice:
1. Raise federal minimum wage to $15 — $1 a year for 7 years.
2. End the war in Iran / don’t start any more wars 🤦
3. Start a movement to provide low cost, 30 year 1% interest loans for qualified trade schools — only for trades that are in demand (cash neutral if we move money from degrees that are negative EV)
4. Federal mandates to build more starter homes — 500,000 new homes a year for ten years. Financial incentives, tax deals… whatever it takes.
5. Make pledge to donate half of Trump family gains during the eight years in office to @InvestAmerica24 accounts (neuters the grifting claims)
How would your opinion of President Trump change if he accomplished four of these five!?

These are the same people who made it a felony to hand out water because it’s bribery.
Mike Rogers’ wife is handing out $10 gas cards in Michigan while asking people to vote for her husband.
Republicans made gas unaffordable. Now they’re offering $10 to keep them in power.

“Inequality is prejudice” is exactly what I’m disputing. Those words are not synonyms. You’re treating your moral conclusion as part of the definition and then declaring the debate over.

It doesn't matter if people disregard the MCU; for me, it gave me that moment. And this is why we love cinema.
I've always said this: movies are like time machines; it's often not about the quality of the film, it's about the memories that they carry. Who you saw it with, where you were, and in a very real way, who you were at that time.
This is why if someone posts "I love this film", no one should respond in a negative way, because they're probably not talking about the quality; they're talking about the memory.

Like him or not, the answer is absolutely yes. 56 years old with a catalog of classics over 3 decades that have shaped a generation.
Agewise, he’s where Kubrick was before Full Metal Jacket, Scorsese before The Departed. No indication he’s past his prime, no sign of stopping.

"Oh you think slavery is bad? You must be a Democrat."
Add it to the pile of evidence that, in the MAGA mind, Democrats are somehow both the “party of slavery” and the party that opposes it too much.

In the early days of Covid, Trump balked at letting sick passengers disembark from a cruise ship so they could get life-saving treatment, because it would raise "his numbers."
"I like the numbers being where they are."
On Thursday, the U.S. Department of War lowered the total number of American servicemembers officially killed during the Iran War from 18 to 14, removing the four servicemembers killed during the most recent round of hostilities in the Middle East; 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan, 25, Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad, 28, and Pvt. Isabella Gonzales, 19, who were killed last week by an Iranian ballistic missile attack in Jordan, and Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, who died as a result of a controlled demolition of an Iranian one-way attack drone in Iraq. Three military officials told The New York Times that one reason behind the change was that their deaths occurred after President Trump declared a ceasefire with Iran in April.
Enjoyed the film even as I knew it was flawed. I showed it to my mom, who has made clothes and is a great designer.
She immediately recognized the problem. The costumes are too clean/neat, & this extends to the world depicted. Nothing seems "lived in."

During any other time in history, a U.S. senator’s office potentially covering up the death of a Senator to prevent a special election would be the biggest scandal of the decade, and press and government officials would have the hospital surrounded 24/7 trying to get answers.

I am sharing this comment from one of my posts because it distills so much of what I have been thinking, so eloquently:
“I personally have pretty progressive views, but the moderates are the only ones who have ever done anything for me. I wouldn't have health insurance if it weren't for Obama and Pelosi. And Biden made it cheaper (Although Trump reversed that). Being able to get legislation passed matters.”

For anyone who is worried about the communist threat facing America, here is some important information:
No one was eating the dogs or the cats.
No country emptied it's asylums or prisons into America.
Schools were not setting up litter boxes for kids.
America did not win the war in Iran over 30 times. It lost.
Other countries didn't pay the tariffs, you did.
DOGE didn't cut $2 trillion from the budget. It cost more than the tiny amount it did cut.
There is no communist threat. Not one person who has won a primary for Congress this year is a communist.
A political party that can't run on its record because it has been such a massive failure resorts to baseless fearmongering. That's all.
